Shadzy Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 As the title says which skyrim version has better sexlab mods, because im using the special edtion but as im confuse with the skyrim mods, since there are 2 folders. Can someone explain me which one is better and why ? and on the topic how to use them 1
Grey Cloud Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Wow! Two folders. You could try reading mod descriptions. You could also try using a search engine to learn a bit about modding Skyrim - it's a tad more complex than just downloading the 'best version'. I hate to be the one to break it to you but it requires a lot of reading and thinking. Questions like yours are asked on a regular basis ans have been since SE came out in 2016. 1

Kann mir jemand erklären, welches besser ist und warum? und zum Thema, wie man sie verwendet which version has the better ... wrong question - just plain wrong question because the SL mods are developed for ALL Skyrim versions! how to use them? huh So mods are installed! Further questions?

FauxFurry Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Very little can not be converted for use in the other. For example, Sexlab Leveling and Martial Milk do not have Special Edition versions yet I quickly converted them for use in the Steam version of SE which can be used without issue in the Good Old Games version of Skyrim. One really only needs to have the version appropriate Sexlab Framework while everything else can be made to work with any other version of the executable file.
Gameplayer Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Newbies won't be able to make conversions for the LE to SE, heck old pros have issues with that sometimes. So the question is easy enough, you being new should use SkyrimSE so that it's not as much an issue trou le shooting. Plenty of sex mods on SE as well. Many advantages primarily that the touched by dibella body exists on SE and I converted tera online armors to be used with said body which you will want to use, because it's ?. You also want to install fo4 to do a robot playthrough using all the ikaros bodyslide I have made because well it's ?. Your ? 1
Tildetyper Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 In my short experience, LE might be easier to understand, and everything is more refined and polished. Sexlabs itself as stated won't particularly be a problem as it is developed independant - the mods that hook into Sexlabs are where you might find that LE gives you a wider access - especially to legacy mods (That may or may not work anyway). My biggest issue with SE has been the existence of AE made it initially confusing when selecting which mods outside of Sexlab and frameworks to install. I ended up with an on fire build because I kept selecting SE versions even though they weren't the most recent version (AE build was). That said, there are new mods coming up that take advantage of SE's ability to handle more things on screen, and other improvements so ultimately it's best to invest your time in that as eventually you'll be there anyway. Especially with people tirelessly dragging LE mods into SE through conversions and posting them for others to use (With permission!). Also, you need to work less to make SE look pretty, so you can focus more time and game resources on crazy alterations.
Guest Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 In my opinion, SE (v1.5). Most of the popular mods from LE have been made available for it, it's way more stable than LE, can have way more mods installed, and performs better. AE (which is really just SE v1.6) is still "early", I feel. Not sure how many of the 1.5 SKSE plugins around here have been converted and that's something the person with the source code has to do. But it really depends on what you're looking here. There's still mod authors on here who work exclusively with LE (for some reason that's lost on me) and let other people port their stuff.

I can kinda understand wanting to mod the original version of Skyrim, it probably has the most amount of users, and tends to be easier to convert a mod made for LE into SE - versus the other way around where it might be taking advantage of functions or ram that LE just can't have.
Shadzy Posted May 25, 2023 Author Posted May 25, 2023 and how do you convert mods then? since some of you are saying mods are mods
Tildetyper Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 I've never done it myself, but from what I gather the difficulty differs depending on the mod. Quote Converting mods from Skyrim Legendary Edition (LE) to Skyrim Special Edition (SE) generally involves several steps. Here's a general guide on how to convert mods: 1. Obtain the original mod: Ensure that you have the mod files for the Skyrim LE version you wish to convert. This typically includes the mod's main file(s), textures, meshes, scripts, and any additional assets. 2. Verify compatibility: Check if the mod you want to convert has an official or unofficial Skyrim SE version available. If it does, it's usually easier to use the already converted version rather than doing it yourself. 3. Assess mod complexity: Evaluate the complexity of the mod you want to convert. Some mods may be relatively simple and require minimal changes, while others may be more complex and require significant modifications. 4. Install the Creation Kit: Download and install the Skyrim Special Edition Creation Kit, which is the official modding tool provided by Bethesda for Skyrim SE. You can find it on the Bethesda.net launcher or various modding websites. 5. Load the mod in the Creation Kit: Open the Creation Kit and load the mod you want to convert. This will allow you to view and edit the mod's contents. 6. Update the mod's plugins: In the Creation Kit, open the mod's plugins (ESP or ESM files) and resave them. This step ensures the mod's compatibility with Skyrim SE's file format. After resaving, the plugin will be updated to Skyrim SE's version. 7. Resolve missing masters: If any of the mod's plugins have dependencies (known as "masters") that are not available for Skyrim SE, you'll need to resolve them. This may involve finding alternative mods or resources that fulfill the same purpose and updating the mod's references accordingly. 8. Update assets: If the mod includes custom textures, meshes, or other assets, you'll need to convert them to Skyrim SE's format. For textures, you can usually convert them using tools like Ordenador (for DDS textures) or Cathedral Assets Optimizer. Meshes might require more complex conversions, and you may need to use third-party tools like NifSkope. 9. Test and debug: After making the necessary changes, test the mod in Skyrim SE to ensure it works correctly. Pay attention to any issues or errors that arise during testing, as you may need to troubleshoot and fix them. 10. Update mod descriptions and requirements: Update the mod's descriptions, compatibility information, and any other details to reflect that it has been converted to Skyrim SE. Please note that the conversion process may vary depending on the complexity of the mod and any specific requirements it has. It's always a good idea to consult modding resources and forums for additional guidance or assistance with specific mods. That is ChatGPT's answer to the question - if you do get into converting mods - I know many people in the forum are pretty thankful for the service should it get uploaded (But if your'e going to upload it, be sure to get the original mod authors okay on doing so - if you're just converting for yourself you probably don't need that).
