While adding the new sets for SL2, I realized my previous 3.12 fix file was incomplete which means there were multiple pre-existing portrait sets that weren't being presented as an option. So, that's fixed in the upload. Additionally I was made aware that 3.12.3 re-added the ability to use vanilla categories without overwriting, so I've reverted back to using vanilla categories as I prefer being able to gene-mod between vanilla and mod portraits. This means you will need to re-select the portraits from the empire selection screen. SL2 should have portraits under: Humanoid Aquatic Plantoid Molluscoid Machine @megaera The missing portrait set you were asking about was re-added to SL1. As SL2 doesn't have per class portraits, I didn't want to just add that to SL2 as the one set with per class portraits. If nothing else, that would inevitably lead to me forgetting and screwing something up in the future. Some of the new sets were rushed more than others in regards to a clean up pass. Off hand I suspect the Andorian and Soldier sets are probably sub-par. Beyond that, assuming nobody reports any issues, SL2 is basically at LL's upload size limit. So it's likely "done" save for any future bug fixes I'm inclined to do. I don't know if I'll do any more portrait sets, at least in the near future, unless somebody requests something specific. The switch over I did in the middle of this update from using A1111 to Forge drastically sped up my SDXL model based generation which is two wins. Generally better picture quality, especially on faces, and better job of controlling image background which means my background removal process is less likely to hose the picture which is where the bulk of my problems come from. Then I discovered I'd been missing out by not using PonyXL to generate realistic images. The only downside is I still haven't gotten IP-Adapters working which is why you may notice the Twi’lek-ish set I previously mentioned isn't present and why I suspect the Andorian set probably needs clean up. With PonyXL I can do non-standard skin tones without issue which is a huge win over SD1.5 where trying to specify a skin color usually resulted in it trying to use that color for everything. HOWEVER, trying to get very specific features like Andorian style antennae or Twi-lek style.... headtails... is still problematic. Overall though, this means quality portrait generation has gotten much faster and more reliable save for trying to mimic specific small details. So, who knows we'll see if I get bored again. 1

I don't personally, and off hand I don't recall how much work it is to create a custom room. As mentioned previously, I got tired of trying to click through 300 rooms to find the one I wanted. But, I seem to recall that if you're just making a static solid room without the transparent window that the base game has, it's not that hard. Edit: Just downloaded Extended Vanilla Rooms to refresh my memory on what's needed for rooms. Rooms are super simple: A text file in \gfx\portraits\asset_selectors which lists all your room names, and then the DDS image files for the images in \gfx\portraits\asset_selectors. The harder part is if you care about having transparent windows (like vanilla) to see your chosen city style through the window. The only other consideration is what your leader picture(s) will be blocking. But the room image is 952x340. If you don't care about the windows or what your leader portrait might cover, it would be easy enough to pick from NSFW images of your choosing and just crop/resize to those dimensions. Or generate your own via AI. Edit 2: Example generated image: Quick/dirty example image. Generated image with a window on the right then (poorly) erased the window, so you'd still see your city set. But your leader portrait is going to be overlayed over some/all of the naked woman which kinda defeats the purpose of a lewd room. If memory serves, the city images are also pretty small, so I think large windows like in this example may end up being too large for the city set. My memory could be failing me on that one. So that leaves the other option of skipping the window entirely and just putting any sexy stuff on the right. Certainly doable but for me personally, given how little time I spending seeing the room, I don't have much motivation to spend much time on it. Edited May 31, 2024 by XavierMace

Possibly. Those ones were a complete PITA to even get to the point of where they're at. However, with my recent learning and process changes, I'm taking another stab at that set and a few of the other more themed/alien ones to see if I can get better/more consistent looking ones. I'll keep you posted.

Short answer: Unlikely at this point in time. Longer/technical answer: I've switched from vanilla SDXL to Pony because it's almost universally better at doing portrait stuff like this. Unfortunately not all SDXL LoRA's work with Pony, and that happens to be one that doesn't and I had no luck trying to get that look without the LoRA. I mostly just got humans with cat ears. I'm not going to say it's never going to happen but that set was a pretty sizable PITA because it doesn't understand staffs to save it's life and right now I'd rather focus on things that require less manual labor to make usable. 1

XavierMace Posted July 1, 2024 Author Posted July 1, 2024 Probably going to have an update this upcoming weekend. As mentioned before, I'm at the point where sets are starting to look too familiar so updates are going to less frequent, prompted mostly by watching something that gave me an idea. This update will have a couple of Star Wars inspired sets (including one that probably falls into the why would you do this category) and a few Fallout inspired sets (all M/F). Some of the existing sets (namely the bondage ones) might get a cleanup/improvement pass as well. That will probably conclude SL2 unless I take another stab at the Anubis, Andorian, and Orion sets given it's at the upload size limit. If I do a SL3, it will probably be going back to per-class portraits (all M/F) but with fixed poses and mostly softcore at most. So closer to vanilla game style. We'll see though as actual work has been keeping me busy and other games have been getting my free time.

I also realized some of the set I'd done previously that are supposed to be M/F are missing the male side of the set. So will be next weekend instead.
XavierMace Posted July 10, 2024 Author Posted July 10, 2024 I don't want to do full reuploads just for this fix since I'm aiming to have updates this coming weekend. But an FYI for anybody using any of my mods/sets on 3.12+: I realized tonight that my mod was preventing me from creating individualist machines as selecting an ethic and authority would flag the machine portrait set as invalid. This is caused by the inclusion of (outdated) species_classes files which are actually no longer needed in 3.12 since I'm using standard base species. To fix this, you can simply delete the entire species_classes folder inside /mod/common for any versions of my mod you're using as it's no longer needed. I don't THINK it was breaking anything else, but honestly I'm not 100% certain so it would probably be good to delete regardless.
XavierMace Posted July 13, 2024 Author Posted July 13, 2024 (edited) New version of SL2 is uploaded but even after doing more cleanup/trimming/etc, with the new sets there was no way to keep it under LL's file size limit so I had to switch to a multi-part Zip file. Personally I use 7-Zip, but Google can give you plenty of instructions on how to deal with multi-part Zip's if you need help. As mentioned previously, this is likely it for SL2 as I'm getting bored with it and running out of ideas. If I do more in the future, it will likely be more inline with SL1 going back to per class portraits closer to base game style. Make sure you delete an existing versions otherwise you're going to have a mess. Edited July 13, 2024 by XavierMace

I just retested extracting with 7-Zip as well as WinRAR and it looks to have worked fine for me but I don't have much experience using/making multi-part Zip files.

I'm open to suggestions, I generally don't like mods where people have to download a dozen different files to get the "complete" package but I could break up StableLewds 2 into multiple smaller mods pretty easily (from a technical standpoint) that people could just pick and choose which parts they want. However logically, I'm struggling to think of a good way to break it up where people could have a pretty good idea what they're getting in each section. The bulk of the portraits are classified as humanoid, so can't use species alone as the determining factor as the humanoid portion would still be over the upload limit. Splitting into parts alphabetically would be pretty arbitrary and would make adding new sets to the existing parts pretty messy.
RandomGuy114 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 For me its only the files 2 and 3 and they wont be recognized as ZIP but as .002 and .003 files... If i edit them and change it to ZIP it says that the ZIP is broken, but i can see the files in it.

I was hoping to be done for Christmas, but with the amount of image backlog I had to get through, it's unlikely to happen unless I'm super productive when I wake up or hanging out with family. I've still got about 5,400 images to categorize and filter (background removal is running as I type this), so I'd say by this weekend is more realistic. As I mentioned previously, I was "planning" on being done with SL2 and non-classed portraits as I was getting bored and running short on new ideas. However, my image backlog was pushing 25k images (I might have an addiction) and in my latest playthrough I realized I really wasn't happy with several sets. That combined with the issues people were having with the multi-part zip download made me decide to do a Stable Lewds 2.5 split into 3 mods. SL2.5 - Soft: All multi-gendered, save for some machines but no hardcore stuff. This will include the non-nude/semi-sexy portraits (IE sci-fi uniform sets). SL2.5 - Single Soft: Same type of content, just single gender (mostly female) only. I might move all the machine sets into here. SL2.5 - Hard: This will be the tentacles, dildo's, sex, etc. These will still be mostly female only. These will all be standalone so you can use any or all of them. They're going to continue appending to vanilla species types. Right now my rough math says each one should be just under LL's upload limit once compressed. In regards to the images themselves, there's quite a few new sets (mostly soft/multigendered) including the above teased Christmas one, the previously teased Naga's, and some other anthropomorphic type ones. However many of the existing/older sets are also getting a more substantial refresh/update. Especially the machine portraits as I've finally got some good consistent sets that didn't get severely degraded/destroyed by the background removal. I may merge a couple f the existing machine ones as they're really similar and both have quality/consistency issues. I'd guess a dozen completely new sets, and significant upgrades/replacements of a dozen of the existing sets. There will be a smaller SL3 coming "soon", returning to per-class portraits. I've got about 360 images ready for it currently. This will NOT have the variety or set count of SL2. It's likely going to be a couple of soft plain humans sets, and possibly a couple of humanoid (Star Trek) alien species. My target is 20-30 pictures per gender per class for each set. This will be standalone as well. At that point, I'm probably going to be done for the foreseeable future as I haven't been playing much Stellaris of late. 1

I won't play Stellaris without this portrait set, and the idea of my favorites getting refreshed with NEW stuff eeeeeek my next playthrough is on hold until this comes out! I'M SUPER EXCITED DUDE YOU'RE THE BEST My favorite is actually the one with Kato and Bunny Colby et al in your Stable Lewds 1 hehee, 2nd favorite is the one where your default Head of Research is always the Asian girl who is uh pleasing herself it's for science

You'll need to delete any older of the mod before using the new version. The two portions that are uploaded can be used as-is, you're just missing a good chunk of the portrait sets, including all the M/F sets.

I'm burned out on working on it at the moment so I trimmed some of the sets that I had planned due to either missing the male portraits or unsatisfactory quality after the background removal process. Namely the re-make of the Andorians, a TNG Uniform set, a fitness set, a prisoner set, and a slave rags set. The nude female only Klingon set was also removed. I'm going to take a bit of a break from updates for a while as I've gone back to playing CK3 but my plan in the next month or two is to redo the non-lewd Klingons and Orions as well as finish the above incomplete sets. I'll just upload those as a separate/addon for Soft. Not sure how it ended up in the "Hard" portion as it's not, but there's a repetitive set based of Tandi and Jennifer from Lower Decks. That was largely just an experiment to see how aggressive those LoRA's were but it was producing pretty decent/reliable realistic Andorian and Orion images. Namely the skin tones were being far more cooperative than they usually are when trying to do realistic non-human color skintones. You can see what I mean with the spider set. So I'm leaning towards the Andorian and Orion remakes for SL2.5 being just straight nudes like second Klingon set was. Then when I get around to doing SL3, going back to per-class portraits, I'll either do a mixed-alien race set or do a few full alien sets. It will probably depend on how motivated I am. 1
