What does this plug in cleaning tool do?

I know a lot of people don't like using LOOT, but it will often tell you which plugins need to be cleaned with xEdit. I'm not sure I'd trust a tool that just auto-cleans everything.

If you look at what it does, there shouldn't be any problems.

Most decent mod authors will clean their mods before release anyway. Although sometimes they might forget. There are some mods that are the perfect examples of what not to do, and even cleaning them won't fix them. LOL

But overall, there should never be ITMs or UDRs. That's just bad practice.. but can very easily happen thanks to the CK being stupid.

Yeah.. loot is the bane of mod support. Total garbage. I've spent days trying to help folks only to find out later loot was the entire issue. Or they've combined a bunch of mods that broke shite. Some people shouldn't be allowed to have safety scissors. :P

Only thing you need to know is that some mods specifically require you DO NOT clean them. DLC's and most others are fine and will help with performance.

What the tool does will not hurt any mod. There should never be ITMs or UDRs.

Tell that to the MA's stating that on their mod page then. Oh, and tell the Loot team while you're at it. Oh, and go clean your masters while you're at it.

There is a difference in the xEdit quick clean and what the auto clean mod does. Learn the difference.

You made the assertion, Sunshine. YOU explain it.

BTW- anyone with with some modding experience will fucking tell you Loot isn't perfect. It's used to help sort your LO, not do it all for you.

"LOOT is intended to make using mods easier, and mod users should still possess a working knowledge of mod load ordering"- loot on github.

Exactly! Like I said, loot is garbage.

And I'll wager you have no clue what happens to UDRs in game. But that's okay because very few actually know.
