Here's one updater for the mods from 2.3 that I'm using for this kind of issues, it seems it works for some of the new bugs that 2.4 made to the skins. Just a recommendation, try donwloading the original mod again and applying the updater I just attach, 'cuz it might have some trobles with the moddifications that 2.4 updaters made.
And by any chance you could dm me this mod please, I was looking for it, if you are so kind though.
