Game fails to start due to bad CC

So currently I cannot play the sims after I've downloaded some bad Custom Content from here.  I'm not pointing fingers but I unlike with Origin the EA app doesn't point out if you have corrupt(s) mod files that are preventing the game from launching.  I've gone through the last few sims I've downloaded from here and nothing in Sims 4 Tray importer sticks out as bad.  So really I'm just asking if anyone has any good advice?

I know the game works without mods as I managed to launch after I updated my game.  I've also gone through "repair" mode in the EA app just in case and nope, still not launching.  The program just sits on the task bar as "active" but noting happens no matter how long I wait.

Not going to lie I feel like wearing the cone of shame for this.

Update: So I started to work on the 50/50 method and when moving my mod files, 2 files popped up with transfer problems.  Both files somehow got cloud saved off my computer in a program that I really didn't intend to use called "The Onedrive".  (Long story short my computer came with Windows 11 along with the Onedrive program on it and before I knew what I was doing my game of the sims was saved/installed into The Onedrive and I've been trying to turn the damn thing off ever since.)

To sum it up, 2 files in my mod folder were not actually saved on my computer and instead cloud saved without me knowing about.  Well Once I deleted both files and moved my mods folder back to test, the game works fine now.  Both files were makeup related and I honestly have no idea how they were cloud saved only.

Thank you Crashdown and LittleRedSonja for your help.  I really appreciate it.

TL;DR : If a Mod(s) is cloud saved only on your computer and you closed the cloud save app, the game won't launch.

Thanks for telling everybody about the solution to your issue, you're probably not the first nor last to experience something like this (so instead of a cone of shame, rather wear the "man of the match" badge on this one, since you found out what the problem was).

I didn't even know that OneDrive could cause that kind of trouble as well, usually it just blocks WW from accessing one of its own files or something like that. Definitely adding this one to my notes.
