Gonna be "the asshole" here - please newbie-explain why we're supposed to hate OMod?

Is it a stealing thing, using without permission thing, just overall being a jerk thing, someone taking over because they can? (Is it done well, at least?) Is it exactly the same thing only the splash page in MCM and/or the names in the files changed, simply to be a thieving dick? Also, Devil's Advocate here, why tolerate this? Why not send people after him? Can't type very easily without fingers. Well some differently-abled people use that head stick thing but it's not very fast, a coder might prefer voice transcription; so don't forget the larynx! (kidding! don't discuss shit like that on a public forum indexed by crawlers! Even my joke -is not a joke- if he turns up dead...)
