Fresh Update and added to the file's main info - Basemental's Venue list (as of 606/06/2023) now includes the brothel venue so no need to rely only on Zerbu.

Question:  I re-downloaded the Basemental Venue list, and I'm not seeing Brothel showing in the lot types.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

 

Also, will the Zerbu and Basemental Venue lists clash, or are they compatible?

You can only have one venue list at a time - having both causes issues.  So long as the GTG-BG is in your mods folder, you should see it under the venue types when in the build/buy category view but it has to be in an unoccupied lot.

Got it.  Had an old Venue list, but went and updated it and there it was!

Hi Lyfdsba - If you can translate the contents, I can put the string into the mod in a future release.  I'd honestly prefer that route rather than having numerous version kicking around for various languages

Thanks so much Zuzanno!  The Male version is already started and shouldn't take long.  So far the plan and setup is going to be two branches almost right from the start for top or bottom and then leaving it to the players The working name for it so far is 'Rent Boys' and the venue will be either a bath house or stable.

I understand what you mean, but sims4 lacks the necessary Simplified Chinese strings, importing Simplified Chinese characters directly into the mod will make the text not displayed in the game. This requires a separate modification of the Chinese identifier using the modification tool. Therefore, making an independent Chinese patch is the most convenient way to solve this problem, because it only needs to modify the Chinese patch alone instead of the entire mod.

There is actually code in the GTG for Janes - female clients - but I haven't turned it on quite yet.  I do want to let people kind of pick who their clients are so it's not so standard along gender lines.  And thank you again!  Always glad to hear people are enjoying.

Is it the same for the active career files? Because i tried both Zerbu and Basemental Venue lists and I'm not seeing Brothel in the lot types.

Tried the latest versions. Have even tried removing all my other mods that i thought might conflict because they ad other venues. Still see nothing. 

Did you maybe forget them in the active career files?

No - the venue option is in both.  Regardless of BG vs Active You need ONE of the venue lists.  Do you have any other venue lists loaded?

No, not that i know off. I have LittleMsSam_MoreBuyableVenues, but even when i removed it, it still didn't show the option. 

Any other mods it might conflict with? Or do i need a patreon version of any of the other mods maybe? {i'm only using the public ones}

For mine there's nothing different from what's in the patreon vs public so that's not it.  I did just scroll through Basemental's list and nothing else has the same ID as the brothel so I doubt that's it.  But one thing I did notice is that LittleMsSam has removed her venue list from her mod and is now directing people to Basemental's list.  So if that's still in your game and it's a version prior to march of this year, you may need to remove it - if for no other reason than as a test.   Let me know if that helps!

I don't typically use the XML injector but I just loaded the latest version into my game and I'm not seeing any conflicts so far.  I haven't done much testing yet but the brothel is available as a venue type, following to work and custom interactions are all working.  Also, since I've got my own ts4script file it shouldn't really be hitting anything in that script.  If you do suspect that's the culprit, though, please test and let me know your results!

It's not the XML injector. I'm having similar issues and tried removing that and nothing changed

What version of the game are you using / Active or BG?  That error was coming up in an older release because I wanted your first 'check in' with the Madame to give you a 'reward' of a box of condoms but it was taken out because I haven't gotten it to work yet.  I just double-checked and that shouldn't be happening in the current version but please let me know.

Active. And it happens after picking the job, before going to brothel or anything.

Fastest way to reproduce is: Create a new game, right after join the GTG job, wait for the "welcome wagon" and it usually trigger a LE.

 

On the existing save, it depends sometimes happens after travel, sometimes just random while doing stuff in the house.
