RohZima Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Nothing I change in the skeleton nifs shows up in game. I think that the game is ignoring the files in _male, but why? ArchiveInvalidation seems fine. I have made extreme changes to both skeletons to check and nothing changes at all.
fejeena Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 What should change if you change the skeleton? ArchiveInvalidation: use SkyBSA ArchiveInvalidation , an OBSE plugin. https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49568

I tried one of your skeletons earlier which I found on another thread. I've just been using NMM archive invalidation and it seems to work for everything else. To move the Dagger, all I am doing is transforming the SideWeapon bone along the axis so it is next to the hip. That's how I do it in Skyrim.
fejeena Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 (edited) Don't know why it is not working. You want to do this? Spoiler The original position The changed position I tried it in game but you are right, no changes. I googled but only found Skyrim, and that it is not possible with NifSkope. https://www.loverslab.com/topic/140428-editing-weapon-positions-for-npcs-in-nifskope/ I don't know what's special about weapon bones. I changed the Oblivion horse skeleton, added penis bones and changed the angle so that the penis more or less hits the vagina during the animation. And it worked. Or in short, I have no idea. Sorry Edited January 29, 2023 by fejeena

Sorry Yeah that's what I did. I think something else must be overwriting it - but who knows. Thanks for trying anyway.
fejeena Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Oh that sounds easy... but where can i get a free 3dsmax version? And I never used 3dsmax, and my few blender attempts went awry. This part is like chinese for me : ...assign a position constraint to the bone through the empty, move the empty, collapse the bone, unload the skeleton from max. ------------------------- RohZima: nothing overwrites the skeleton in my game. The problem is the bones are weighted, and NifSkope can not weight bones. MeshRigger can weight meshes but I don't think it can weight skeletons. Without a new weight the banes are still at the old position, even if it looks different in NifSkope. So you need 3dsmax or Blender to change the skeleton

Looks like it's controlled by animation...
