Please note that when changing the "with skirt" model to other characters,some of the skirts will be deformed.This problem is caused by the game itself so use "no skirt" version instead. Be sure you are using the latest version here. The version from Kuro 1 will cause the game to crash. If you have been using an old version (or trying to rename files yourself), your files will likely all be mixed up, and I suggest reinstalling the game before trying to swap models.
amorrow28 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Replaced Kuro MDL Tools upload to fix a critical bug - fixing Kuro 2 compatibility for COLOR broke Kuro 1 compatibility. I wrote a workaround, so now COLOR should work for both. Grab the new upload in the post above. Also, the mdl_version.json never worked, I'm surprised no one ever reported this! I fixed that too.

I managed friends, now I have Risette, Elaine and Feri as Towa, Paulette and Jolda but if I try Shizuna and Agnes their weapon models disappear or maybe I did something wrong during their test tries. :v

Model swapping is a hack. It does not account for all the differences between characters, of course. If you want a fully working model swap, you will need to take the meshes out of one character, pose and rig them on the skeleton of the other, merge them in, and adjust textures, shaders, etc. (and believe it or not, this is actually pretty easy in Kuro. I ported a nude mod from Atelier Ryza 1 to Ryza 2, on the same character, and it still took me hours as I had to resegment the meshes and adjust weights by hand...) Anyway, I actually did write a tutorial on how to do this, which you can read here! 2
