Looks like improved face textures + savegame.

 

I didn't saw that this mod on Nexus so it seems be something new from chinese modders

the wierd thing is the size of the textures. 170 kb and 700kb for msn.

Well it's chinese mod so get ready for weird things

I don't want to mod my Skyrim untill I beat game once or twice so can't really test those files

Tried it. Well, looks like an improvement, the textures are much cleaner and a lot less detailed than vanilla or detailed faces, but females look now like they actually do bath sometimes xD Not sure about the hair though, haven't noticed any changes at all.

Maybe you have to start new game or something.

Also let's don't forget that those mods are made without proper tools so we will have to wait for construction set etc. to see some good mods like MBP

I need to get me a list of all these off-sites that do mods, cause currently I just watch Nexus to see for anything new.

I will keep eye for mods like that but I'm pretty sure that they will be posted on 3DM or Moderteam..

Yup.. While the realism is all nice and well, I simply MUST have pretty females in the game. Even if it's just my own character.

I wonder why the developers skimped out on the hairs. I don't have a problem with the styles, but the quality detail is...eww. This really reminds of the sims.

Taking the dds files fron Han's find and using photoshop w/ nvidia dds tool I increased all the face texture files from 8.8.8.8 ABGR 32 bpp up to 32.32.32.32 ABGR 128 bpp.

 

This made the face a bit smoother and not as coarse as the it looked in certain directional lighting.

totally agree. same as oblivion, i hated the vanilla airs. and here, u dont even have the option to increase the size...

The hair just seems so low res, almost like it was made for a game that should be played on your phone. The big blocky textures just kill me. I had to make my hair black in the game just so I could hide the lines.

Well, the game was made with xbox360 and ps3 specs in mind

Agreed, but with everything else looking so nice and having such great detail, you would have thought they put a little more into the hair. Even if not for the sake of the player, for the sake of the npc's and how they look.

I decided to try it out, curious to see how big a change there would be.

Beauty Faces by necKros, havnt tried them out in game yet but they look pretty impressive.

This helps resolve the unfortunate withdrawel symptoms of those like me who just want the capability of creating pretty elves, albeit once I have the CS and of course the HGEC bodies (presumably hands, feat an head meshes as well) for Skyrim I will most likely port over lop ears elf, since well ... Skyrim needs some cute lop ear elfness!

 

But for now! Less Harsh Elves

Here is a pic of my character using this mod, she looked pretty good before but it's great now. She's a Breton, I have a few other mods installed for the face to get this as well, such as one for the eyes and one for the freckles.
