Safest way to toggle SL framework without breaking anything?

Hello yall, so my question is how to best aproach the case of temporary disabling SLF without breaking the game/save or loosing progress.

I'd like to do so for child related quests, since children are blocked by SLF, like "A key to her heart" or "The whispering door" involving Carlotta's daughter Mila and Jarl Balgruuf son Nelkir as well as many others from which right now I remember only Dark brotherhood startup "Innocence Lost" involving Aventus Aretino.

I'm rly bad, unexperienced and unlocky with this stuff. I decided to take skyrim for a spin again after good couple of years this time with a dash of "spice" (Beastess, Untamed, Public Whore, Osex, IW, FG, MNC among others) and all new bells&whistles (COCO&BHUUNP bodies, HDT-SMP, ENB preset ans some) that weren't a thing when I played last time or I couldn't run it coz of lousy pc like any ENB.

Spent 4 days of trying to go with LE with results being:

a)game doesn't load at all;

b)loads and ctd almost instantly;

c)loads fine but ctd upon new game or trying to load clean save right after helgen cave.

Then I realized I actually have SE with AE update on steam (grabbed on some humble bundle or similar), went with it and so far it works aside from couple weird animation/dick missing situations.

I'd be very gratefull for advice as I'm terrified of braking my game. Tried searching but due to this being dificult topic I only found SL Unfiltered locked behind a paywall and a hint that children can be enabled by script editing which is way beyond me.

I really hope I understood you correctly here.

So you want to disable Sexlab while you do Quests involving Children. Why? They ain't involved in any kind of LL behaviour, not a single Mod on this Site will do something with them other then, just maybe, give them dialogues who lead to nothing. You actually don't even need to talk often to the Children.

If you don't like the fact that something triggers when they are around, then you just have to go to the mcm, for many mods usually Sexlab Aroused, and disable it from there (which is a Thing for a few other mods too. Like I always have aroused creatures and aroused disabled.)

So no Mod that draws from them will trigger.

That reads like you are looking for a way to disable the "Child Protection" scripts in SL. If that is the case you're not going to get much help here.

If you have a mod that is affecting the Child NPC's so you cannot interact with them or they have all been removed from game then, as Gukahn already said, it is not SL doing that. All SL does is stop itself from activating/calling any functions with a character it detects as a Child or Child Like.

Yea I don't know if this is just elaborate scheme to get someone to link them unfiltered or whats the actual problem here? Unless I'm misremembering I think there IS one mod here that just straight up removes npcs, but its not SL framework itself, and it didn't have any interactions with them either way, if you find npcs missing just go slowly through mod menu and maybe you have option there. Maybe some other mod borked something and removed npcs. Or maybe you misunderstood what SL framework disables... I think you can figure it out from the context you are a big boy/girl/non binary person. Did you actually play the game and couldn't find the npcs or did you just assume they were gone from a description you misread?

Thanks yall for such quick replies. I realize it sounds bad or fishy to say the least, on top of the fact my very first post here is a cry for help coz "my game broken" but hey gotta start somewhere right?

It seems I indeed like Karhel said do not understand how SL actually works and what does it control. Since start of my playthrough I've seen no kids whatsoever anywhere and just assumed they are "disabled" as a precaution for the same reasons you are suspicious of me and that the SL is doing it.

Sorry if I was babling a bit making little sense while trying to explain my problem and overal situation. Although yes I am a big boy'n'all I am also as mentioned bad at this stuff and my brain is currently in a bad state. My girlfiend who works as a nurse at one of the bigger hospitals in capital brought covid with her again (3rd time's a charm?) couple of days before xmas. We're both caughing, wheezing and feel very out of it, me trying to fix my skyrim while she sells turnips or whatever it is they do in animal crossing. We can't even empty bottle of champagne on new years eve coz we're on heavy antibiotics -_-

Your replies encouraged me to yet again look through all the menus and options of mcm and I struck gold. I did overlook like 10 times before, don't ask me how I guess I'm more delirious then i thought, a tip windows from Sexual Fame about "Child remover". I was about to ask yall for tip where is the damn option to turn it off, not seeing it's the very first option in base setting of SF. I want to facepalm so hard but can't even do that coz my sinuses would probably burst.

Fun trivia the child remover option works kind of bizarre. Here's what happened when I tried ,while waiting for your replies, to explore the issue using first quest I noticed lack of children being bothersome:

I disabled all other quests aside from "A key to her heart" and found that despite description being "Speak with Mila Valentia in Whiterun" the quest marker was actually somewhere way up north. I unlocked all markers via console, teleported and she was actually there but in a semi broken loop state. She would appear couple of meters in the air, drop down and make her way to me but teleport back in the air mid sentence over and over again.

Thanks yall for help, happy new year.

If that happens again, the easiest way is to open the console (after you disabled the remover.) and tip the npc's name. Afterwards you will get an ID. None DLC vanilla npc normally start with 000.

Then tip Player.Placeatme "Number" and they spawn near you.

Why suffer a loading screen right?

Happy new years

I'm glad you managed to fix it up, I've been using this mod forever must've disabled that feature ages ago and forgot about it but I knew I wasn't crazy and it existed. It is actually quite amusing they are just spirited away into the air somewhere :D happy new year

SL Sexual Fame has toggle that disables all child actors. It is on by default when you install it. If you have that in you load order and can't see children anywhere, this is most likely why.
