With fomm you can manipulate skyrim esm and create new esp witch you can modify as mod.. :P

They already made some new once this way on skyrimnexus..

you can use TESsnip (Fallout Edition) from the FOMM to view and edit the Skyrim.esm.

You can also use it to create .ESP for Skyrim and change the game mechanic settings, thus the mods already released.

I tried to use it to manipulate some item properties but i failed. Maybe some else got some more luck doing so.

regards and have fun modding

I'd be surprised if we can use this to create a working .esp from scratch: we don't have any actual example of skyrim .esp to work with yet.

OTOH I'd love to have a peek inside the main ESM, start to see how scripting and stuff works.

Is there something that I need to change in the header? I made an ESP' date=' but it crashes on startup.

I tried this first and you're right, this way doesn't work. In FOMM TESsnip, go to File > New, then Edit > Add Master... add Skyrim.esm and save.

This might come in handy too - seems a bit more user friendly to find stuff in the first instance: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=165

EDIT: This is a better introduction: http://www.vgunetwork.com/topic/14592-create-new-skyrim-plugins-without-the-creation-kit/

I also found that string values (things that start with an 's', eg. 'sNoFastTravelDefault') are wrong/corrupted, so make sure your new esp doesn't contain any strings, just floats or integers.

I managed to unpack everything, have done some texture work, but still cannot get the nifs up in Nifskope, I think i would have to install the Fall out version for that, but I read problems with that as well.

It is really hard to get textures just right without a UV editor.. I hope, but not sure we will see it soon , a Blender import export script. Then UV mapping will be a snap.

Just a quick viewer like nifskope ( even with out all the bells and whistle's ) would help tremendously.

The butt is lacking polygons to give it a smooth rounded shape. look at it from the side and you will see the flat spots.

The best shaped butt I have seen in the game is the assassins Brotherhood armor. somehow it seems to have a better shape to it, but it has the flat spots too.

and the nipples are recessed, which just does not look right, However like the butt, this is only seen from a side view.

I do not believe it would take much to improve all these things, if you could get the body in blender. and I doubt it will even mess up any of the existing clothing, if you do not get carried away.

I did hear that there is a 3dmax import, but I don't even have it installed anymore I got so use to blender.. Will be hard to re learn how to use 3dmax.
