Voice pack for BaboDialogue

 

Made using VASynth for BaboDialogue. Created for version 4.80. Uploading here because why not.

 

Baka's mod works for both SE and LE. I play on GOG's AE and this pack works (mostly) for me. Every now and then I have noticed small things (often single word lines) that it doesn't cover, but it got *almost* everything.

 

This should still work for newer versions of the mod (see Baka's Patreon) except that any of the new lines added in the newer version won't be voiced. Honestly, you probably have Fuz Ro D-oh - Silent Voice installed anyways (it just got an update for AE/GOG) and seeing as this mod took over 24 hours for my computer to process via VASynth (there's a ton of dialogue in this mod) I'm not going to update this for every release of BaboDialogue.

 

It also means that this pack is quite large (~3.6gb), so the file in the downloads contains a link to a MEGA page where you can download the file. Even larger once unpacked, so don't download if you're worried about taking up disk space.

I use yours as an update pack for Project Echo's, delete the overlapping files and pack em into a nice BSA. Thank you for your work!

After testing, I found that it is not suitable for 4.902. If it is installed, game will crash.

I've got 4.902 installed with this voice pack and it works fine for me.  

Where is it crashing for you, I'll try to get the same event to see if it causes me to crash.

First off, great work!  These voice packs are amazing.

 

I notices that some voice packs do the lip synching, and some do not.  There a reason some do and some don't?

I ran this for a while on 4.902 and it seemed like it was working for me. In general, these voicepacks shouldn't completely break the game, they may just be a little off or have some unvoiced lines if they are for the wrong version of the mod.

 

Any more details you can give me? Are you on LE, SE, AE, GOG? You were able to download the 7z archive from MEGA without any problems?

To anyone who is using version 4.902 or 5.0, I have 5.0 and plan to make an updated voice pack for this version of the mod as soon as I have a chance.

I'm sorry,The game loading crash has nothing to do with your voice pack. The crash comes from the MCM of the babodialogue mod itself

No worries, I know that's a headache to sort out. I know there are a lot of random mods that can do that and it can be hard to find them (for me it was Milk Mod Economy and SL Advanced Cum Stages). Good luck, hope you're able to find and fix the issue.

There is actually. The tool I use (VASynth) by default only makes voice files. There is an extension that I more recently found that lets it make lip sync files as well, but it adds a lot of time to making the pack.

 

Because of how long it would take to add I don't plan on fixing this in the current version, but it is something that I'll include in future updates.

Yes, but if you wait for a while he makes them open to everyone after a while. Still go to his patreon page, but you can just use the latest public release.

Roughly 140,000 dialogue line/ voice type combinations in v5.0. Finally found some time to start on processing this, should be finished within a few days.

 

EDIT/ ANNOUNCMENT: After cooking my PC for some 50 hours, I've finished processing the voice pack. However, because these packs are very large, I'll be removing the previous version from MEGA when I upload the new one. For this reason, and so that I have some time to test the voice pack, I'm going to wait a day or two before doing so.

 

If you don't want to update BaboDialogue and want to keep using the old voice pack, please download it now. It's possible that these voice packs will be backwards compatible (the old lines should all be there, just with a few extra that will never get used in the old version) but I haven't tested it and don't have the time to. If you try it, let everyone know if it worked.

 

Also, if anyone wants to download the 4.8 version of the voice pack now and share it with people, consider this my permission to do so. As far as I'm concerned, all of this really belongs to Baka Factory anyways since it's all based on his mod, so I don't care if people share the files from my voice packs.

Version 5.0 is up, and I believe that v5.0 of the mod is also available to non-patrons over on Baka Factory's patreon.

 

I've left the link to v4.80 open for a little longer, please grab it now if you want it (I can't leave it up forever because it takes up a lot of space on MEGA).

 

It should be working, but I have exams coming up so I haven't done extensive testing. Let me know if there's anything weird going on and I'll try to address it as soon as I can.

Tried uploading to pixel drain (link: https://pixeldrain.com/u/GuCKsMX9). Let me know if it looks like it's working. I'll do my best to keep this up to date, but it could be there are times when I don't check in frequently enough and the link goes dead.

 

Again, if anyone would like to host the file somewhere else themselves, then feel free to do so.

Hey BadJoket, firstly thank you very much for your efforts, it's much appreciated!

 

Quick question, I was using the old version and while the voices worked well, I noticed often there was no lip movement with BaboDialogue lines.

 

Is it possible to address this in any way?

Oh, never mind! I tried out the new voice pack for v5 and it seems to have solved that problem, thanks again ?
