Can I make sims take off shoes inside the fence?

Hey folks!

Can I somehow make sims take off shoes inside the fence and put them on when they leave the area? Maybe there's a way to trick a game to think the whole area inside the fence is "inside"?

It just looks stupid when they put them on/off every time they go in/out the house into it's backyard when it's in the desert and it's a hot summer day

Here's something that I think would work:

Draw walls where you want the backyard fence to be.  When you get it fully enclosed, you'll get that "THUD" effect and the whole back yard will be a room.  Go up a level and demolish the ceiling, go back down and demolish the floor.  Then replace the walls with fences.  You'll have to redo everything in the back yard, but the game will see the back yard as a room now.

Still takes the shoes on/off *sigh*

Nevermind.

I've just created some barefoot outfits for an in-home usage. And nevertheless they stop for a couple of seconds when going inside/out to play the animation around their feet *facepalm*
