Merging you weapons and armor plugins has likely broken your SPID distribution.

As an example this is a line from one of the _DISTR.ini files from RMB SPIDified - Realistic Armor:

Outfit = 0x82A~RMB SPID - Realistic Armors.esp|-isSkipGlobal,isNordwarRA+outfitHide

The .ini is looking for an outfit record from "RMB SPID - Realistic Armors.esp" which you don't have in your load order.

That esp is also looking for armor records from "DIS_RealisticArmor.esp" which again you don't have.

 Ah,

Thanx for the heads up.

I'll have a look. Havent come accross nude NPCs, but they may be getting default armors instead.

I merged the SPID patches as well, But I may have to grab those ini's and manually modify them to match the new ESP.

For now just gonna play lol, been at playtesting for 3 weeks now lol.

Edit:

Looks like ZMerge or SPID is cleverer than we give it credit for - judging by logs - it picked up the plugins have been merged and acted accordingly. So looks like it's working as intended. I Know for a fact the maids outfit in the log works as i've seen it on relevant NPCs. (See Screenshots)

So glad I don't have to go ini editing 100's - or possibly 1000's of records LOL

So, having gotten DynDOLOD generated as per monkinsane's advice here, there's a few immediate issues I've noticed with my install that I'd appreciate some help tracking down and fixing.

One - for some reason, at least with the clothing that Alternate Start - Another Perspective starts you with, neck seams are very visible on the player. This might just be an unavoidable issue, but I figure I'd bring it up here just to see if it's something other people have noticed and/or found fixes for.

Second - for some reason, in the "Alternate Start" version of Helgen, the area that the executions would take place in is cratered as hell, ie., there's lots of holes in the ground (and the ground itself is lower than the Vanilla intro is expecting through that entire area, which breaks the vanilla intro because they try to execute the person in front of you and just can't trigger the animations.

Third - some of the NPCs in Helgen seemed to be having weirdness going on with the textures on their faces being much darker than the rest of them - not quite black, but seriously noticeable and distracting.

Have appended modlist and load order files. Hoping to get the base install working without major issues before trying to add some other Skyrim mods to it.

Glad that worked.

I had all sorts of issues with the Alternate start mod Alternate Perspective, including the clothing issue. Worst was the executions not triggering at all - everyone just stood there. General Tulius kept standing all the way over by the Keep entrance - and if you moveto player him over to the execution grounds - he just runs back to the keep.

I could not find any solution for it despite hours of searching - and eventually just replaced the mod with Live another Life (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/272) instead.  If no one here has a solution for you (I don't - had no luck with getting Alternate Perspective to function properly), I suggest using LAL instead.

Probably going to switch to Live Another Life, see if that fixes everything else.

EDIT: Actually, while I'm installing that and adjusting the bashed patch and DynDOLOD - Fertility Mode showing error messages complaining about some functions being overwritten (looking in MO, it seems Baka's SL Defeat is overwriting them). Probably going to remove Fertility Mode and PAIA, unless there's a more convenient work around (and PAIA doesn't conflict with installing SLIF, once I get around to customizing my mod set more).

Yeah,

Had issues with Defeat as well.  (Kinda worked - sometimes and only partially. Same kind of issues I had in LE) - I ended up replacing defeat with Acheron + Practical Defeat + Addons. Works far more reliably. Also does not seem to interfere with anything. (Not that I've noticed yet.)

I recommend giving it a try.

Where would you recommend putting Acheron in the load order? I'm guessing Practical Defeat itself can go more or less where SL Defeat goes by default.

Place Practical Defeat and it's addons at the bottom of your SexLab mods, If you page 1 page back (page 119) - there's a copy of my load order if you want to see where I put mine.

As for Acheron - I placed it's ESM and it's extension library ESM  just above Sexlab ESM, and it's addons at the start of my SL mods.

^ I'm using Acheron + YK  + Practical Defeat over BakaDefeat and this is correct. Works 100% fine for me in this config

Also seen a couple people call for a modlist, I'm about halfway through two playthroughs testing all sorts of mods and setups as alternates for various outdated things here. I'll post in a bit once I've settled it. For example, I've tested literally every variant of Defeat for SE/AE for various categories of stability and support.  (Spoiler, the setup above is best by far if doing multi-follower, NPC to NPC, and creatures but has a bug where it stops functioning on saves after running once so consider "defeats" as reloading saves).

My post previously has most of the changes for this list, so far graphics are amazing, no glitches or texture issues, and 0 CTDs in many hours of playtime in basically most areas now.

Relatively new to modding, so this is probably going to sound very ignorant - what does "NG" mean in this context?

My understanding i that it stands for Next Gen and refers to apps/mos which are written in such a way as to make them version independent, i.e. you don't need to check if the mod version will work with your version Skyrim exe.

Related, a new version of the Grass Cache mod (NG edition) is available, though not on Nexus yet, and is supposed to work on AE versions of the game. Really wish Aylis was still around, because I know they'd be super happy about this one.

Glad to hear that you are surviving. Take as much time as you need for yourself before even thinking about working on the guide. Your health is definitely more important. We are all just happy you are still here.

Coming across an issue where, originally, I launched the game with the pre-built body slide options, and everything worked fine. Made a female character, let some mods initialize, all was well.

Now though, I removed said presets, and went about making my own bodyslide, and for whatever reason whenever I select a female character in RaceMenu, the game will lock up for a second or two, then crash. Even trying to load a save with the female characters I had made before running bodyslide now crash as well.

Any ideas on ways to go about fixing this issue? Have all the body related mods/physics related mods on the list.

Sounds like mesh or physics issue.

Guessing I should give reinstalling all of the body/physics related mods another go then?

Also, good to see you back around! Followed your old SSE guide and it worked pretty much to perfection, for some reason this time around fiddling with bodyslide just seems to have made things unplayable.

Edit: Did a bit more tinkering around while in the game to see if anything else might crash it, just did a simple placeatme of a couple female npcs in the game, and, more or less they're working fine. No crashes, bodies functioning as they should be. The only notable issue I took note of was the fact that, for whatever reason, when they speak their faces are completely still. No motion at all in the lips or anything, only the eyes moving seemingly if anything. Not sure if this might help pin point potential issues with selecting female/changing sex in Racemenu causing my game to crash.

Edit Edit: Okay, did some FURTHER digging, and it seems like a head got messed up somewhere either in my bodyslide generating, or just not installed properly whenever I used V Cut. Went in, reinstalled it entirely (and reinstalled 3ba physics after), solely did the bodyslide for the body itself, and then the head (with Build morph being left unchecked) and now everything seems to be in working order by and large! Only noticeable thing is all the 0/default presets looking pretty vampiric, so could do some further fiddling to see if one of the vampire cosmetic overhauls is doing something on that front, but all in all, can actually get past character creation now, so I'll take that as a win for tonight.
