aslab Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 There are are many voice files that are outdated. My question is can I use the outdated voice files? In other words, is there a way to set the game up so the voices will be heard when the files match and silent voices takes over when they don’t match. If it does this by default please let me know, as I don't want to risk a crash later on.

Unless mod changed A LOT/was reworked in a major way it should still work, just obviously it won't cover newest dialogue, I use some on LE no problem I don't see why SE should be any different. 1
anjenthedog Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 (edited) Afaik audio files are basically the same as they were during the tenure of 1.5.97 and 1.5.80 at least, if not those created for 1.5.73 and below. I'm not sure I'd grab up something from 2012, as (Skyrim related) audio formats and or compression or other sop characteristics *might have changed since then (idk, I only started playin in 2019, just suggesting caution) Edited November 14, 2022 by anjenthedog 1

If the file has no voice counterpart will I still know what was said through silent voice text? 35 minutes ago, anjenthedog said: Afaik audio files are basically the same as they were during the tenure of 1.5.97 and 1.5.80 at least, if not those created for 1.5.73 and below. Most of the files I'm looking at are from 2020 or newer
