shadowman2777 Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) I've tried porting this outfit but i have this problem of infinite stretching. I tried CAO, deleting xml physics/removing xml path physics from nif (probably irrelevant). Nothing works. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I dont know much about working with nifscope. The outfit is called Premier Night. Link Edited November 3, 2022 by shadowman2777

Can re-save these in Outfit Studio using a consistent reference between both, but usually need to look at them in Nifskope to know this worked for sure. EDIT: You can check that this is in fact the issue by copying the _1.nif to both nifs (so they are identical). If the stretching stops, then that's likely the issue. shadowman2777 Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 Thanks for the input. I forgot to say i also made bodyslides. The folder only has the _1.nif. There is no _0.nif. I copy pasted the 1.nif and renamed it to 0.nif but that didnt solve the problem. It seems there is sth wrong in the back of the dress.
Vyxenne Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 I converted this to SSE, including running the meshes through NifOpt, removing the HDTHighHeels dependency and adding NiOverride high heels. I got the same result as in your image above- stretching and missing parts in back. I strongly suspect that it's the xml doing this, but I don't really know. I'll have another look later. 1

Can you put one of your nifs here to look at? Might be some odd bone interactions, but hard to say from just a screenshot. 1

shadowman2777 Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 Sorry i forgot i had edited the file and removed that. Here is the original passed through CAO. rarmor_1.nif

If you want the skirt to stop stretching, it will either need the physics or need to be reweighted without the extra bones.
shadowman2777 Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) I only removed the physics as a test to see if the stretching will stop. Its buggy with or without the physics. Edited November 5, 2022 by shadowman2777

Its buggy with or without the physics. Got it. I don't know enough about SMP to know if backporting works. You could always reweight it completely and remove any physics from it. Harder to do with something as segmented as this is though, since the skirt is multiple parts, the weighting may be kinda shit.
shadowman2777 Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 I don't mind if it worked without physics. Unfortunately I don't know anything about all that stuff you suggest.
