Novas Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) Hi everyone, First of all sorry, to the heteros. I don't mean to be in your face about this, I just don't know where to post. That being say I would also value your experience if you feel like sharing (Mods feel free to pm if this is the wrong place to post). So, for context, I haven't played Skyrim for a long long while but I know that a lot has changed with Skyrim special edition and Nexus mod manager etc...so I'm a bit lost. I would like to reinstall the game and have a modded experience geared toward Male/Male action as much possible. I am aware that most adult mods will propably have M/M stuff as a complemement or as a side thing rather than being full on gay buttstuff but I'm ok with that, I can live with ignoring Grelod being suplexed by the guards in the background and stuff like that. I have 3 main points of concern: Is it better to install the basic Skyrim or rather the Special Edition ? I guess one has more M/M content than the other since I don't think everything is being ported between the two versions, I just don't know which one. I'd also kinda like to have access to Beyond Skyrim if possible. Back in the day I would use Nexus mod manager to install and prioritze load order, but I have been told that NMM dosen't exist anymore/has been drastically changed/sucks. What do we use nowadays and where can I find it? Choosing and finding mods. Loverslab probably has a thousand mods for Skyrim and SE, I just can't seem to filter properly those with M/M elements, what's updated, what's broken, what's abandoned etc..so please please please link me your recommendations and their dependencies ?. I would especially be glad to download anything questline related (brand new or vanilla "updated"). At this point I don't even know what's the most common body mod currently : D Sorry for wall of text, thanks for reading, thanks for replies, happy NNN to everyone ; ) Edited November 2, 2022 by Novas
donnerwetter Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) You'll want to get Mod Organizer 2 as your mod manager. I think at this point we are past arguing about LE vs SE, now the debate is whether to stay on SE or update to Anniversary Edition (I myself never updated, and even if you buy the game now there are ways to downgrade.) I would follow any basic mod guide to get your Skyrim essentials up and running, then add the NSFW stuff on top of that. In your case I think you'd want some male body replacers, clothing, Schlongs of Skyrim SE, some schlong addons for it as well as SexLab. Speaking of Sexlab, this is the only M/M animation pack I'm aware of: You'll notice that the above mod is for LE. Not sure if a SE version exists, but thankfully you'll be able to easily convert animations one way from LE to SE with Cathedral Asset Optimizer. When it comes to male-oriented content in general, you may not find much on Loverslab, and you'll probably want to check out Vector Plexus (I think they changed their name to Vector Plexis earlier this year), as that site is wholly dedicated to it. Also, have you seen the stuff on this site? ? A not insignificant part of it is dedicated to fucking dogs, horses and zombies. You should not need to apologise for bringing up dudes on dudes. Anyway, I hope you find what you're looking for- I'm returning to my incredibly heterosexual pursuit of making penises on women look more realistic. Edited November 2, 2022 by donnerwetter 1
Novas Posted November 2, 2022 Author Posted November 2, 2022 Thanks for your reply and your help : ) I found Mod Organizer 2 on the Nexus as you recommended; I hope it will be as intuitive as the old NMM, I'm ready to dick around with it. I think I'm also going to stick with Skyrim Special edition as well. The Vector plexis website was also a super good lead thank you. Checked it and it is indeed very nice and gay : D However there is like 400 skyrim mods, 90% of them are very well made sexy armor mods or conversions and the rest is body mods and followers but I don't think I've seen any animations or quest mods at all so I think I'm going to remain on Loverslab for now. I think I just have to jump into it, start installing mods and see what works, hopefully I'll stumble upon those quest mods along the way. Thanks again for your time and friendliness girl, don't trip on that third leg ; )
JimUpdating Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Try SLEN, and set it to be neutral for gender preference, that way Farkas/Hrongar/Sigurd are quite ... available. Depending on preferences, Defeat with no gender preference can work, but a male character can end up in an aggressive role even if defeated. Apropos2 has the same issue, where the description doesn't quite match a male character when defeated. One of the SL mods has a hotkey to switch genders without changing bodies, so provided the apropos2 database has had a search/replace then the words used may have less immersion loss. Request to the community would be to make something that automatically recognises on change of cell to a dungeon, switch the character to use a specific gender to get the preferred role in any animations that Defeat trigger in the dungeon. My biggest debate was SoS / SAM. The revealing armours for SoS are very revealing, but the distinct normal vs bodybuilder body can trigger some clipping issues - I did find some leather armours in SOS would cause visual artefacts on bandits, radiating a texture in planes across the entire screen, making combat a bit random. By comparison, the armours in SAM seem to be more stable (there is a smoother scaling of body type), and visually go more for elegance with chainmail underwear options.
Harry Smackmeat Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 M2M is one of the greatest animation sets in existence. It's art. Just go ahead and disable the default animations because they're Morrowind in comparison and stick out when SL picks them. If I were straight I'd still download it just out of respect for the quality, because thx to SLEN or Sexlife at least 2 NPCs in this game is into buggery and they deserve only the finest luxury suckin' and fuckin' for the act. Skyrim is a cold, hostile place and when the bois gotta warm each other it should look like they mean it! There is a SSE version but I forget where I got it. It's probably in the thread somewhere.
