How to remove unselectable floating objects?

Recommended Posts

I have come across two floating objects, which I am unable to remove because I cannot select them with the console. Also they both can be walked through.

- The first ones are some floating hand cuffs, which are somehow a left-over from a Sanguine's Debauchery mod action (cuffs were magically removed from my PC).

- The second one is a "ghost" of my PC's body with clothing, which somehow showed up floating in the air after a Naked Defeat mod action (see screenshot in spoiler section).

Any ideas how I can remove such objects? Admittedly it's only a cosmetic issue...

Have you tried entering TCL mode? Some objects have to be "picked" from a certain orientation. I've run into that with ice wraiths from time to time, where their ice piles have to be picked effectively "from above". If they die in the air, sometimes their piles are left hanging in the air. Ash piles sometimes act the same way. I've successfully recovered their leavings by entering TCL mode, walking "up" to them, and then selecting and looting the pile. One might think the same could be said for any pickable object not in its "grounded" position, although tbh, I've never spent any time validating that idea..

Yes, I have tried with freecam. Can't seem to find any position where these floating objects would be either selectable via console or directly show up as selectable...

I guess the handcuffs is an AnimObject and the body maybe a manually rendered first person body? If you have a 1st person body mod, have you looked down to see if its still there?

Regardless, this looks like something that would only go away with a game restart, but I assume you've done that by now so if the stuff is still there there's probably no reasonable solution. ReSaver might be able to do something as it has some cleaning functions, could try that. The only other thing I can think of is to replay the exact same animations, with the same AnimObjects etc.

Thank you all for your input. Unfortuntately, I still haven't been able to remove the two floating items...

Therefore I have resorted to another "solution": with the help of Jaxonz Positioner, I have copied a barrel and a pillar and moved them over the floating objects, basically hiding them. This way I can stop obsessing about them... ?
