AxuseWastaken Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Hello! so i'm new to modding and i wanted to use Acro's MouseBell Body Preset I've installed every requirements. Inside bodyslide the preview of the preset looked fine i've build my body with CBBE 3BBB Body Amazing. Selected everything and Batch Build my body. but when enter the game. The NudeBody still have the CBBE Curvy body preset But the clothes have have boobs size of Mousebell's body preset. I've spent so much hours trying to fix this but have no idea. Anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening? Sorry if this is hard to understand but English isn't my first language i will try my best to explain any questions in the replies
Shadowbroker3495 Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Verify that Bodyslide is writing files to correct folder by: * Doing a single object build (not batch build) * Pressing CTRL key while clicking batch build button. In batch build window right click with mouse and deselect all. Now select only "CBBE 3BA Amazing Body" and build it. Files should be written to ...\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets

But i found something intresting I don't know if this is related or not But when i check the Game's Folder in MO2 contents are completely diffrent from the ones shown in the Bodyslide
Shadowbroker3495 Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 If you make a single object Bodyslide build (not via the batch button), you should get a popup window showing path and files names created. Verify that path is correct. If not, then you need to change Bodyslide settings.
anjenthedog Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) 1) In Bodyslide, ensure that your chosen preset and the body type to which you are going to apply it are the same. That is, if you have chosen the CBBE-3BA body, make sure this preset is CBBE-3BA compatible. If you choose incompatible body/preset pairs, you may end up with poor results - partial adjustment ranges for instance, using a current-gen version Body (ex: BHUNPv3, CBBE-3BA) with a grandparent Preset (UNP, or even BHUNP v1, or an earlier CBBE iteration, and or "gross" visual artifacts (misplaced nipples, hip stripe), or sliders that do nothing if using a current-gen preset with an older body from the same body family (ie CBBE or UNP) Sometimes you can get away with it for clothing or armor by accident (the "other-type has a reference body that's close enough to the player's that it's unnoticeable), but for the body, I'd religiously make sure to use the same body type for both preset and body model unless you have a very specific purpose for doing so and know what you're doing. 2) The player female meshes (and tri files) are stored at /Data/textures/actors/character/character assets/ /Data/meshes/actors/character/character assets/, just in case you're not sure where they usually should end up so they're used by the player. (afaik unless you've opted for unique player) Other named NPCs with unique physiologies are located in their respective /Data/textures/actors/character/(name of character, eg, "Grelka", "Adrianne", "Lisette", etc), /Data/meshes/actors/character/(name of character, eg, "Grelka", "Adrianne", "Lisette", etc) unless they use the same body as the player. Make sure pathing is set correctly in Bodyslide for file output. (see settings >> advanced) And make sure to build the body, AND hands and feet, and if it was me, with the "Build Morphs" checkbox checked. Edited October 11, 2022 by anjenthedog fixed my misrepresented file locations

After trying both method the problem is still present i've check the output and everything and it was correct but after fiddling around for a couple of hours. The Bodyslide preview now have textures instead of weird gray no textures body(again don't know if this is related or not sorry if it isn't)

anjenthedog Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Oh shit. I'm sorry... I screwed up and made an error in my pathing. The correct folder for the player is /Data/meshes/actors/character/character assets/, not /Data/textures/actors/character/character assets/

anjenthedog Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 (edited) both contain files, but the one that contains the associated files is character assets vvvv This is NOT the one where female (player) meshes go vvvv vvvv This is the one where the female meshes go vvvv Edited October 11, 2022 by anjenthedog
anjenthedog Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Also, since your previous reply had indicated that the files were being produced (but placed into the incorrect folder off textures due to my mistake) , you could simply copy the files from that location into the proper location (see snapshot "Process successful about 5 posts up from here)

anjenthedog Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 The fact that you can't access the /Data folder using filemanager is troubling. Are you playing on someone else's computer, or a computer that someone else controls (ie has administrative priviledge but you don't)?

traison Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 MO2's VFS (usvfs). Don't try to access mod files in the data directory from outside of MO2. The directories and files you see under the Data directory do not exist in that arrangement outside of the VFS. Some clever magic that I'm not going to go into, lets just say things are not always the way Windows makes them seem. 1
anjenthedog Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Windows? Windows does just fine. MO2 seems to be the culprit here. I have no issues accessing any folder except for a couple of root entries that are system-level protected.

AxuseWastaken might confuse access with the fact that folders and files appear to be missing. That's the work of the VFS. There's most likely nothing wrong with the ACL entries. 1

Ok so i think figured something out : So there're a trillion of Overwite files (i'm assuming they're femalebody_0 & femalebody_1.nif) inside the character assets folder
traison Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Widen the "Name" column and you'll see that they're not files named "Overwrite", but rather files in the "Overwrite" directory. Think of the overwrite directory as a mod that is always loaded last and will always override anything loaded before(above) it.

Explaination on what i did : So around 6 months ago i had this weird bug that i was getting and moved the modding stuff to another drive and after that i forgot about it. 6 months later(Present day) finally remembered that i moved modding stuff into another drive Sorry if this made you waste your time for stupid mistake that i did but Thank you anyways! Edited October 14, 2022 by AxuseWastaken Finally Fixed the problem 1
traison Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 For posterity, custom races can have custom body file paths. Nice to see you solved the issue tho.
