Search function isn't working well for me. advice?

i go to a topic w/ 50 pages ect and search even a common word, i get 0 results. i then look manually and find tons of the word. happens very frequently to me. just searched a topic w couple pages for a word i'm looking right at...0 results lol

what am i doing wrong? thanks

Google.

Sounds stupid but google. LL's search engine isn't hat good cause it's a Forum, where countless people have countless conversations and the Engine picks those up too. You will get good results with google most of the time

thanks i've actually been HAVING to use google and it does work somewhat well at finding the topics of things i'm searching but it's not as great at find those details within those topics lol. i just don't get it as i've been using this site for years and search worked fine until few months ago.

Yea I was having the same issue, searching for something and getting no results despite knowing I'd read a forum in the past on the same topic. As Gukahn said google is really the best way to find things here.

Yeah I usually end up having to google mods to find them as well. It's really annoying when a mod I am looking at requires another LL mod but has no link to it, then google doesn't find it... 

 

Took a bit of searching on some of the mods.
