Stapelgabler Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 hello there, I have a problem with a mod which I cant find a solution to it. I have a mod where you can rescue captives from bandits. These captives just have an invisible torso That is how it looks to me As you can see, the culprit is clearly "deviousbanditcaptives.esp", so I reinstalled the mod and tried it. Didnt work. I then sorted the turnorder. Didnt work. I killed her and took the item. I then tried to find mods that could have an impact on it, so I reinstalled devious Devices and ZaZ again. Also didnt work. I am running out of ideas now. There should be clearly a solution I just dont see to resolve the invisible torso Thanks in advance!
chaimhewast Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 Armors not showing up is caused by missing meshes. Click on one of the NPCs with a missing torso, mouse over "Equipment", and push shift - that will give you a list of what she's wearing. You can then push shift when moused over any of the equipment to get details on it. Odds are good that it's something you didn't build it in Bodyslide when you installed it.

An exclamation mark would then appear as a marker. Either the slot assignment in the Devious Devices MCM is wrong or the BSDismemberSkinInstance in the nif contains the wrong slot. Example of incorrect assignment in the MCM: A collar nif has e.g. the slot 35 and in the ESP also the slot 35. However, if slot 32 is assigned in the MCM, the collar does not appear, but the body is missing, since the body mesh is not part of the collar nif. The easiest way to make a nif neutral: To do this, open the nif with Nifskope, select the mesh and right-click on BSDismemberSkinInstance -> Convert -> NiSkinInstance and save the nif. Then the slot is exclusively defined by the ESP/ESM.
