Tool/Mod for Character positioning?

What mod is usually used for fast character positioning / placement?
Is there anything that allows to grab an XYZ axis and move a Sim along that axis for quick position adjustments?

Thanks

I don't know of one that is super easy, but this is the one I use for posing sims for screenshots: One More Slot Please

Turn the cheat "moveObjects on", then go into buy mode, put down the OMSP object, and move your sim onto it. Then you can <shift>-<ctrl>-<click> on the OMSP, which gives you a menu to move the height up and down. Use <alt>-<click and hold> to rotate it to any angle. Use <alt>-<click and release> to position it anywhere without care about the snap-to-grid stuff. The rotate and position tricks are not specific to OMSP and could be used with any sim or any object. It seems easier, to me at least, to just put my sim on the the OMSP, then position that wherever I want them. When you go back from buy mode to live mode, the OMSP becomes invisible.

I combine the "One more slot" withThis mod, "RdN_Misu_PosePlayerAddOn"

talk about it in another post. I put the link

Allows you to move,  both Sims and objects without leaving game mode

the link to download is at the end of the first post on this page

'IF' you use KW, there is a debug feature called 'move'.

This is what I use 99% of the time, since I will have to use the cheat 'moveObjects on' in build/buy mode along with KW/Move when positioning sims with poseplayer/objects.

This feature has the ability to change the value of the distance moved, so with a bit of experience you can get Sims into position fairly quickly.

I use a LOT of sliders, so in the course of making screenshots, I sometimes have to move the actors several times to 'hide' visual discrepancies or line up body parts as I change camera positions and/or animations.

If you've seen my screenshots you have seen for yourself this method in action.

We have many options - now you know a few we use.

(just noticed the OP hasn't visited this since the day it was made....)

Not 100% certain, but I believe the mod from @Patriguz is geared more toward model posing, and is tied to choosing a pose in pose player... then options show. So, I don't think it would work for woohoo alignment. But, I would say it's far more versitile than KW... for photo posing.

Build/buy - MoveObjects on

This also gives the player a way to spin Sims as well by holding the ALT key after placing them just like any other object/furniture. One can use every trick if they want to place sims in an interesting location while an animation plays out.

Yes. I use it all of the time, depending on need. Sometimes, just becuse of some silly routing issue. The KW move is okay for fine tuning woohoo position, and I use that on occasion also. The other is mostly for posing. I do not think it even works aside from poses. But, you can set the distance moved on each move, instead of change distance, then return to the main menu as KW does. Again... for posing, which we both know @Patriguz does a lot. Also has turning, and tilt, change facial expression, though some are a bit silly looking. You can use the active Sim, or another in the household. You can see the options below...

She is a character from a story/ game "Love of Magic" on F95 https://f95zone.to/threads/love-of-magic-books-1-3-droid-productions.41188/ if you wish to check it out. I remember you mentioning virtual novels a while ago, and this subject matter looked interesting to me. So, I checked it out, and really enjoyed it. Actually not as much sex in it as one might think, which was fine for me. Interesting take on "The Once and Future King" tale. And then, I decided to make the characters as Sims! ))) Still trying to find better armor for my Emily Pendragon, but this Skyrim conversion I did will do for now. Doing some hair mash ups too.

Thanks, I know the debug position of KW, however it is rather slow to use as you have to repeat the same command multiple times. This is why I was asking for a mod that does it more faster and direkt. But there were some alternatives mentioned, so thanks so far. Will try them out..

That is why there is a value setting. Default is 0.02

I know, but even with that value setting it's slow and clunky. You might get too high values, or too low values. I wish there was a mod that lets you use a XYZ pivot / gizmo where you can simply drag the character in each axis by mouse.

I guess all that practice I've gotten gives me some insight.

MoveObjects ON  cheat will allow players to move any sim anywhere on that lot during build/buy mode. It can't help with verticality, but is another option.
