Guest Vendayn
So...I seem to have a weird problem with it. Now I am using a custom, edited Monli race, but I saw videos of the race working with the dances. But, I must be using it wrong or maybe its bugged or does in fact not work with the race, dunno. What happens is... If I have all dances activated (which only supposed to have one), the mod plays correct music/correct (though probably a coincidence since its the dance I want to work) dance...however the animations are broken. If I have the dance I want activated on the load list (and none of the others). No music plays, wrong dance plays, but the animation works. Anyone know what may be going on? I do have them on bottom of my load order, but that is required in my current mod setup. So that could be it too. This is what I'm using: http://casualmods.net/DanceSynchronizator/DSLMainEng.html Thanks for any help Link to comment
Guest Vendayn
Thanks. Meant to put it here, but had multiple tabs open. Link to comment
Ark of Truth
Read the instructions from the site you downloaded it from, it's all explained there. Link to comment
Koko.Hekmatyar
Oh GOD I've never looked through this before. they have the Nyan Nyan Service Medley from Macross Frontier!!! Link to comment
Guest Vendayn
Load order is correct. The install details didn't say much on the site or in the readme, unless they are less detailed in English or something. If the same, it is pretty self explanatory. I'll try FNIS once Nexus is back up to download it. But, I'm pretty sure the mod compilation I'm using already had it though. If so, I wouldn't want to mess it up. I'm not sure what FNIS installs to look. Maybe Pinups is causing problems. That is only pose mod I'm using. (edit: Appears I'm already using FNIS. The tools are in their folder, so the compilation already uses it. So that isn't it) Link to comment
Deedlit
remove, enter game save, get out game, re download that (maybe a corrupted file was doing that, dnt use your old one), reinstall, run fnis, enter game, load the saved game (the one without dance sync actived from before), and test. Martianman
How do you choose which dances to use? I don't see a list or anything when I use the DS settings spell or anything. I have several dances in my database, but when i use the DS start dance spell they only dance to one of the songs that I downloaded. Can anyone tell me how to select what dance I want the dancers to do? No clear instruction from the download website:( Link to comment
Zquad1
Hey I get the same thing I am using "Dance Synchronizator V 3.4" & with that I get just the Guitar & mics but no animations... NOTHING!!! & that's installing the DSanimations.BSA, DSSound.BSA & the DSUpDate.BSA. by it's self But if I install Dance Synchronizator (Light) V 2.2b then I get normal animation Dance hall & what not the only things I don't get in the Music & the additional dances that comes with DS v3.4 the instructions on the Main DL page are horrible he doesn't explain what all needs installed, like do I need to delete previous versions of DS & then install DS V3.4 or what?? I also understand it's still experimental. BUT with the other versions I can use the dance animations But the Music does not play. So I have no idea what I might be doing wrong. Link to comment
iBot27
Bump* I am having the same issues as everyone here. With the Lite version I can only get one Dance Animation to play. But with version 3.4 (Full) no animations or sounds work. The Menus and all the hot keys work but when I start a dance my characters just stand there idle doing nothing at all. Anyone who has Dance Synchronizator 3.4 fully working able to give us a helping hand? Thanks in advance. Regards Link to comment
lidowxxx
I am a bit surprised no one has answered this considering the mod has been around for as long as I can remember. You can only have one dance pack working at one time with DSL, you can of course download and install multiple dance packs but only the last in your load order works, I know, it sucks, big time. A new version which overcomes the limitation was supposed to be in development a long time ago but nothing surfaced so far, I keep seeing new dance packs being released but no update for the main mod, if it had the huge drawback removed, I would keep it in my mod list in a heartbeat. Right now it's only one of the mods you install, have fun, uninstall and revert back to previous saves and be done with it, for me at least. Link to comment

Now, I'm still confused about the supposed "Dance Synchronizator 3.4" though. According to http://casualmods.net/DanceSynchronizator/DSMainEng.html one should be able to use this "full" version as well. According to that page, at the very bottom, it seems it was last updated February 2014, so it don't seem to be extremely outdated. For me, I thought maybe my problem was due to me extracting the files from his installer and making my own package for use with Mod Organizer since his installer places the files directly in the Skyrim Folder. But this wasn't the case because after trying it my way and failing, I proceeded to follow his instructions from his video exactly and produced the exact same results as my previous attempt. Dance Synchronizator is recognized in game. I can use the console to "help RSV" and find every file associated with the mod but for some reason it just doesn't work. The only other idea i come up with in regards to troubleshooting is that maybe FNIS is not reading the animations. Dance Synchronizator 3.4 with everything installed, including the Update.bsa, Animations.bsa, etc., gives you 161+ dance animations. When using FNIS, I feel as though it may not be allocating these new animations from this mod. This is all just speculation of course as I have no way of telling whether or not FNIS is correctly allocationg these 161+ dance animations. I tried to use proper powers of deduction but I fell like I may be wrong. I will continue to try and get Dance Synchronizator 3.4 to work and if I have any success I will share it on this thread. In the mean time, if anyone else has a better idea or maybe the actual reason as to why this mod is not working properly, I'd greatly appreciate any information. UPDATE: I got it working!!! The issue is between Mod Organizer, FNIS, and some of the Dance Synchronizator files being over written, from what I've gathered. It's hard for to me explain in technical detail why the issue occurs since I am merely a user and not a dev/modder of any kind. But after further inspection I found that MO/FNIS was prioritizing the defaultmale.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx from a different mod or from FNIS itself, over Dance Synchronizator's Defaultmale.hkx and Defaultfemale.hkx. What I did to remedy the issue of the dance animations/sounds not working was extremely simple from within Mod Organizer. *** Have a fresh install of Dance Synchronizator 3.4*** *** DO NOT USE GenerateFNISforUsers.exe after fresh install *** - Click on the Data tab - Locate meshes\actors\character - Within meshes\actors\character look for two folders: "characters" and "characters female" - Expand meshes\actors\character\characters and you should see two defaultmale.hkx files, one from Dance Synchronizator and one from FNIS - Right-click and Hide the defaultmale.hkx from FNIS - Expand meshes\actors\character\characters female and you should see two defaultfemale.hkx files, one from Dance Synchronizator and one from FNIS - Right-click and Hide the defaultfemale.hkx from FNIS That should do it. Load up your game and test out Dance Synchronizator to see if it's working for you. A few things to note, after re-reading the install instructions for Dance Synchronizator it clearly states that there are issues with FNIS. In particular, anytime you use GenerateFNISforUseres.exe, Dance Synchronizator's files will be overwritten and in my case I noticed a file deleted. So, make sure that you do a fresh install of Dance Synchronizator prior to doing the fix I mentioned above and after you have installed Dance Synchronizator freshly, DO NOT RUN GenerateFNISforUsers.exe. I guess I should also say, this method is what worked for my Skyrim setup with the mods I currently have installed. I am unsure if it will differ from user to user, it may. But I'm guessing the problems might be very similar and the fix I used might point everyone in a general direction for troubleshooting assuming my fix does not work for you. That's it, that is all I did and I got "Dance Synchronizator 3.4" to do what it's intended for!!! If there is anyone out there still having trouble and is interested in giving this a shot, please do try it as I am curious to see if this helps others. If anyone needs to PM me as well for additional questions or just ask here in this thread, I will try to help as best I can. Regards and Cheers Link to comment
Trinad
Hello fellas, I have upgraded to the new 3.5.1 for dance synchronization recently and it's the first one that I have successfully gotten to work since 3.0 and so on. Two problems however, first is that I haven't been able to get Dance Sync to work on npcs at all, they just stand there doing nothing with a smile on their face > (not a big deal since I don't mind just cloning my character and changing outfits). The second problem and the one that is bugging me a lot more is that it's conflicting with my kill moves somehow, it's causing a vanilla bug where npc's die immediately when a kill move is initiated on them (sometimes in the kill move animation the npc doesn't die at all and the kill move animation ends almost immediately, followed by the npc getting brief invulnerability) The only fix I've come up with that works so far is running FNIS and everything works the way they are supposed to with killmoves, BUT since your not supposed to run FNIS with dance sync installed because it simply wont work at all otherwise. This has been a really annoying problem, because I feel as though I have to choose between having dance sync or having killmoves. SO has anyone had any similar problems or am I just a noob exception? lol If ANYONE has any clue as to what may be causing this I would be extremely grateful for you to share your insight with me. poptya
Using this thread for another problem. Using version 3.5.1, Any NPC that I've made into a dancer and then dismissed shows up without clothes in their default location when the game is reloaded. Half of Whiterun is now in their underwear. Hoping someone might have some ideas for a way to fix it. Maybe just someway to give people their default outfit. EDIT: seems to have been solved by uninstalling and reinstalling DS 3.5.1, then just using the equipitem console command to put everyones clothing back on. Only issue still remaining is crashing on loading/wait screens around 10% of the time. Link to comment
