adoiad Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 So here's the deal, I had a great modded skyrim LE going with hardly any issues until recently I noticed my C drive filling up over and over while playing skyrim making saves not work. I kept going into disk properties and cleaning up the drive freeing up a few gigs allowing me to play and save for a few minutes until the drive would then fill again for some reason. After tinkering in disk management and scanning all of my drives in cmd (which took a long ass time) I don't believe my c drive is filling up again however I can't be sure it was related to skyrim because I can no longer launch skse. Once I finished doing whatever I did with my drive skse now only launched in background processes however it launches normally through steam without skse. I couldn't get it to work so I uninstalled everything, reinstalled skyrim and skse and got it to load again. I began adding mods little at a time yesterday and got skse to load with a very light load order and resumed adding my mods. Now I continued this morning and am having the same issue all over again and can't pinpoint what's causing it. What happens is I launch skse and get the black cmd prompt like normal then nothing comes up, I look on steam to see the game is running but nothing displays and looking in task manager I see skyrim running in background processes. I'm totally stumped so I included links to all the logs I think might be relevant and hope someone might find what's causing this because it's driving me crazy. loadorder.txt plugins.txt skse.log skse_loader.log skse_steam_loader.log
adoiad Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 I'll add that I've been using vortex for a while after switching from nmm. Vortex worked well and I liked it until now, since applying mods last night the deployment is going super slow so something between yesterday and last night is really weighing on vortex I guess. Vortex might even be my culprit idk.
Tlam99 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Set logging off in skse. But be prepared to have your disk filled. Or, check the skse log which mod spawns.

Sometimes a fresh download from Steam helps games get corrupted after all it is just computer program. Also use other drives Do you have a D drive? I recommend a remote drive it keeps games separate from the computer
adoiad Posted August 3, 2022 Author Posted August 3, 2022 Hey guys, I restarted my pc after a full virus scan and it's loading now. I still don't know the cause but my skse loads now so my fingers are crossed that my C drive won't start randomly filling again.
