SBF Character as Preset?

Hi everyone! I guess some of you have already seen hrk1025s wonderful NPC Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37861). Especially Jenassa catched my eye, so i've been trying to use her face as a player preset but i seem to be unable to figure out how to accomplish that. I've tryed several tutorials to copy a NPCs appereance but none of them worked for me so far, and since i'm no modder i don't really understand which things i'd need to edit to make it work. My question is, what would i need to do to use her face as a preset? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

(PS: hope that's the right section for this type of question :s)

At RaceMenu (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29624/?), there's a Mimic Plugin addon.

It's a spell to copy NPC face to PC. You need a command console to search and equip it. Just read the tutorial there.

If I'm not wrong, it can work independently without RaceMenu. The copied face can be saved to preset using Enhanced Character Edit. You need Enhanced Character Edit too, as Skyrim Beautiful Followers was created using it.

Thanks for the suggestion but i've already tryed that and it didn't work for me.

No way! It work well on me. Did you do it properly?

help "Face"  <---Find the Face Copy and get the ID

player.equipspell XXXXXX(ID) left

Then cast it with the equipped left hand spell to the desired target.

PS:Oh, I forget the Copy Face spell need RaceMenu.

Didn't work entirely but yielded the best results. However it seems like it's only able to copy the Headparts(hair, eyes, brows) but not the facegeometry

The command is "spf xxxxxxxx" ("xxxxxxx" being whatever name you want to store the .NPC file as). ;)

Here's the tutorial from J-U-I-C-E:  http://j-u-i-c-e.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Your-Skyrim-Character-Look-Like-Any-Character-in-the-Game

It works perfectly, and is very beginner-friendly - I highly recommend it! :)

Didn't work at all unfortunatly, i guess it's because it's no vanilla npc.

What i've noticed is that the game seems to use the wrong facegendata (the mod contains a new one for jenassa) since i'm always getting an almost-vanilla-skyrim result. Haven't managed it to make the player use the facegendata, unfortunatly... any ideas how i could achieve that? I really appreciate the help so far but none of the above things seems to work... guess it's the structure of the mod :s

Ahhh - okay. In THAT case, maybe try something different... :)

No spells, no spf commands, no NPC files for this. Just follow the steps below:

 - (*Before opening the CK, go to ...\skyrim\Data\Textures\actors\character\character assets, and TEMPORARILY remove your "tintmasks" folder. Don't worry - you're going to put it back when you're done. This avoids a whole ton of annoying little bugs. For peace of mind, make a copy of it on your desktop in case of accidents. If you're using an ENB, it is also a good idea to likewise remove the d3d9.dll from your Skyrim folder, as it can cause problems with the CK's render window).

 - Open the CK

 - Go to File > Data

 - Select Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and whatever the mod is that you're pulling the Jenassa face from ("SBF Jenassa"). Do NOT set an "Active" file.

 - Let it load - be patient. If any errors pop-up, select "Yes to All".

 - Loaded? Good. Now - select "Actors" from the list in the Object Window, and type "jenassa" in the Filter search field. Jennasa's name should appear in a list to the immediate right ("HirelingJenassa"). Double-click on it to open Jenassa's Actor window.

 - Now that you have the Actor window open, look directly below Jenassa's name at the top-left of the window. You will see a group of little boxes, some of which will be ticked/checked. Click on the one which reads "Is CharGen Face Preset".

 - Click the "OK" button at the bottom-left of the Actor window. It will close.

 - Go to File > Save, and choose a name ("JenassaFacePresetTest" - nice & foolproof).

 - Now, use the slider in the Object Window to move down the list of game assets. Locate "Character", click on it to expand, and click "Race". This will bring up a list of races to the immediate right.

 - Locate "DarkElfRace" in the list.

 - Double-click to open the Race panel for DarkElfRace.

 - Make sure the "Female" option is selected at the top of the Race panel. Drag the panel a little to the right so you can see the Obect Window.

 - Go to the Object window, locate "HirelingJenassa" in the Actors list.

 - Click-drag HirelingJenassa to the bottom of the list of DarkElfFemalePresets in the Race panel, and release. "HirelingJenassa" should now appear in this list, right below DarkElfFemalePreset10. Click "OK" at the bottom-left of the Race panel to close it.

 - Go to File > Save. Close the CK.

 - Put your "tintmasks" folder and d3d9.dll BACK WHERE YOU FOUND THEM.

 - Open NMM. Locate your new plugin at the bottom of your load order. Make sure it is ticked.

 - Load your game. Enter "showracemenu" mode, and move through the Dark Elf female presets until you see Jenassa's face. Hopefully, it should be the one you're wanting. ^_^

UPDATE: Oh for...! Okay, normally the above is spot-on - however, I just tested this with that SBF mod. Apparently, ECE Says No. ECE has a lot of little... quirks... which reset or reassign various facial parts to its own set of defaults. I do not use ECE, and I have no knowledge of how to include it in mods. <_<

To be honest, you may be better off simply asking the author nicely if they could please make a preset of their modded Jenassa for you.
