evangayleon_ Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Sorry I don't have a solution to this, but I am getting the same error. Are you also experiencing the glitch where sims hold objects high above their head? Like their arms are glitched out
SpacialBliss Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Following. I don't have a solution but it's extremely annoying... I have deleted all previous versions of WW and emptied my recycle and old versions still randomly populate... I have 3 different versions in my game right now randomly in my mods folder. It happens kinda frequently too so it's like mad annoying fr...
SAFMeiko Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 The lack of response from the experts here probably means that no such problem has been raised by those who handle it "normally"... Have you removed localthumbcache.package? You may need to give up on progress and delete the WW folder in the saves folder as well.
Husk Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 If the mod is telling you you're not using the most up-to-date version, then it's not lying. Maybe there's an older installation of WickedWhims somewhere in your Mods folder that's causing confusion?
Scorpio Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 The most common reasons for this are: You have another version hiding inside a merged file from downloading an older Custom Sim that had 'extras' included. Or duplicates are hiding inside another sub-folder. The game will still load an old TURBODRIVER package file even when it's 3+ sub-folders deep in Mods and cause the warning. Even though it won't load the old script file it only takes one file to cause the warning. Easiest way is to make a new folder on your desktop named 'Testing'. Move all your Mods into this folder except the resource.cfg as it's a game file. Delete the localthumbcache.pkg Download a new copy of WW and install it alone, adding animations back is OK but make sure they are just animations The other one is if you have MS OneDrive installed it can try to restore old deleted files. Either un-sync it from your 'The Sims 4' folder or uninstall it if you don't actually need it. 1
NightmareShadow Posted July 5, 2022 Author Posted July 5, 2022 I did find the problem if you have your game on Onedrive delete off of there because thats where the old version of the mod was. 2
