Is there any way of giving a NPC from a previously loaded mod priority over a mod with higher priority?

I know it sounds confusing , so I explain it further:

I have Saadia from Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch and I prefer her look over her model in High Poly Heads. I opened SSEEdit but I don´t know how would I do that without breaking the mods or the whole game . I don´t even know if it´s doable or if that is the program I should use. Any help would be appreciated.

You can try moving the mods .ESP/.ESM for the higher priority one to be above the Saadia .ESP/.ESM. This will make the higher priority file to load first and then be followed by the Saadia .ESP/.ESM which should overwrite files from the higher priority one as the one that loads last in the load order will overwrite files that are above it in the load order.

Yes, that I know , my bad. The thing is I don´t want to renounce to the rest of models from High Poly Heads , I forgot to mention it.

I am trying just editing the High Poly Heads .esp with the unnoficial patch values but I don´t know if I can do it easily with one command or I have to edit a missmatch line at a time.

Try this then. Open SSEDIT with the Mod in Question. Delete everything Saadia and to be sure, look of her ID is mentioned also. Delete that too.

Should do it, but to be absolutely fucking sure delete her files in the Mods Data Folder. Her Facegen should be named after her ID. I did that once or twice very long ago with other Npc´s, sorry can't recall if that's everything i did but i think so. If it breaks, you can always reinstall the mod so who gives a flying F ?

This in SSEdit to create a patch that carries over the data from the mod that you want to 'win' in your load order. Just an alternative to deleting data. Should give you the option to create it as an esl flagged esp. Just select the data branch with the information you want overwriting your load order and right click it to get this option to come up. It should work midgame. I end up using a few of these little patches every playthrough:)

Thanks , I´ve been tempted to do that , but then I was prompted that overrided the mod and then I thought that it was prompting me about overwriting THE WHOLE mod and I stopped at the very moment...   so to clarify: this will only affect the part of the mod I have selected on screen, right?

Another question: what do I do with the overwriting files generated by SSEEdit? should I delete or place them on the ¨overwrite folder¨ together with all the other important stuff?

Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it.

I think I´ve fucked up somehow. I reinstalled the Poly Heads and now I´ve just open SSEEdit and I can´t see anything on Saadia´s column which is strange as I reinstalled from scratch all the mods related to Poly Head. Strange.

Yes check that box I have highlighted and it will just create a new plugin that has the override data in it and put it dead last in your load order. I don't know what mod manager you use but it should just show up like any other plugin to activate after that.

If it doesn't work then you can just delete it afterword and load a save before you tried it because no data in the other plugins was actually changed. You are simply creating new data in a new plugin identical to the data in the lower priority plugin.

And do you know why I can´t see anymore the Saadia´s Poly Head column when I input her code in the search box? If I reinstall the mod it should be generated again right?

I´ll double check the installation again but I don´t think I installed wrong. btw , i got some plugin backups from before I modified the poly head mod , but I don´t know how to load them. Maybe with that I can see that column again.

I have no way of knowing what you ended up deleting and where from, so no I can't even begin to tell you what the problem might be. If you are looking in "High poly head.esm" there shouldn't be any npc data there, only head parts.

I removed the column at the very right. It´s deleted only for her character the rest is working. Actually she is the same than when I had it activated and visible. It´s just the column is not there.

Since you are trying to revert to vanilla you may need to remove the added face geom data too

try removing 00013BA2.NIF

from

That should revert it to vanilla/unofficial patch

Nvm , I fixed.I didn´t reinstall the translation .esp.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: still I see the same Sadia from High Poly Heads. Maybe it´s embedded in the savegame and that´s why. I have no other explanation.

So , I continued trying but there is no way I can manage to get High Poly Head mod overwriten from Saadia. If I just disable it , I can the rest of NPCs change but not her. I managed to do it somehow some days ago and I remember the specifc savegame I used but can´t replicate the result anymore. One thing I can edit is the eyes colour though. So , that part of the SSEEdit works but nothing more related to the face.

For anyone who was interested in this thread , the problem was the .nif included in High Poly Heads related to this specific NPC.  When I deleted the .nif and I selected the prefered face in EASYNPC ,  the chosen face appeared.

So, this last thing described here is all you need to choose a face for your NPC, apart from installing EasyNPC , of course.

Best regards.
