My country blocked access to Lovers Lab

Recommended Posts

I mean, crap.

.

I've been away from TES and FO modding for months, and just yesterday I thought I should come back and continue things. My projects, paper plans, all those mess. But I realized that I cannot access LL without proxy! They say this site is harmful and provides illegal informations. Things going fun... They may be right about harmfulness.. for children, but what about illegality. stupid ass.

.

.

Well.. I wanted to respond pms I got while I'm away, but I can't see the mail button above anymore ( I guess it's related to proxy server and java script?) How should I do to ever see my pms without clicking some other members' name. So, sorry anyone who pmed me. (and some good proxy anyone?)

.

Anyway. greetings, LL. long time no see.

Damn We're all a bunch of International Hooligans and we didn't even know it.......I'm not sure if We should be honored or outraged at that news.

Seriously though I can't think of any reason that anyone would Ban access LL nothing is done here that is harmful or Illegal stretching the boundaries of Morality, reality, and sanity maybe but nothing harmful or illegal.

They are trying to violate the freedom of a person who has never blatantly violated any law. And I could access Lovers Lab anyway after 5 seconds of grumbling "This is fucking annoying",, so this banning was effectively useless, unless their purpose was just pestering me. (which was a jackpot if they wanted to bother me)

So now I see this is the way they spend my taxes.

highly recommend you start using vpn, PhantomPeer is fast, secure, and cheap!

I didn't know about vpn so I googled it and found that 'PhantomPeer'. Well, if it really could let me access to LL or other banned sites such as ehentai etc, 6USD per month is not biggy I guess. Is it real? Are you using it?

Just.. What I fear is that I'm getting used to this inconvenient proxy internet. lol

Yes, i'am using it mostly for torrenting :D, no website blocking (not that i am aware of it, LL is working fine, ehentai also), fast as hell and no logging! ;)

You may also try it with openDNS and DNScrypt for additional security!

Yep, I'm pretty sure of it after some googling. Everyone related to beth games are complaining about it. And most of all - the 'warning' screen is very familiar to me. I see the very same thing throughout lots and lots of porn sites. -.-;;

... and what is about DNS? would you explain kindly?

Nothing too hard. This is the screen in question. ( I've linked this from other site)

Nope I live in south korea. This pic is saying all about harmfulness and illegality of banned site, legality of banning action, how to report even more sites, and so on. This pic is not surprising I've seen the same screens many times in the internet. (Including porno sites, suicide communities, gamble sites...) what surprises me is that they think LL is in the same level as north korean propaganda sites.

Let me guess is the country Singapore?

Poor Singaporean fellas, I guess they must be suffering the same thing as me.

Hmm that is weird and worrying as it means we are drawing attention to ourselves.

Does the report say on what grounds it is harmful and illegal? I know you said illegal informations but what is being classed as illegal information? Ripped content?

No. That screen is always same, no specific reason about specific site. My positive guess is some bastard (or some boy's mom) reported it.

'illegal content' surely could mean ripped contents from other games, but I don't think they really investigated this site and decided to ban. Someone reports the site, and they see all the adult ads around, and click-> ban. This is almost all I can think of their behavior. Since the lovers lab is a foreign website, they ban first and forget it next.

Recently(1 year I think) korean police is banning large number of porno sites. arresting ignorant torrent downloaders, banning websites. redtube, dlsite, all the japanese gal game sites.. years ago north korean or some chinese site were the only blocked websites.

Funny enough, they seem to be blocking all sites which don't have an age gate. Redtube, dlsite and this site don't have one. That could be seen as "illegal information" as we are providing access to content which is not suitable your underage persons, that would also be one reason this site could be seen as harmful.

If memory serves the age of consent for SK is higher then most countries. You asian lot can be a funny bunch at times :P

lol yes I myself sometimes find ourselves funny. underage cut in south korea is 19, but more important thing is that koreans have their own 'resident registration numbers', which may be useful for administration purposes(one of the main reasons how korean polices are scoring at arresting criminals) and a lot harmful for privacy things. most foreign websites won't require registration numbers, so our boys can easily access to the porno site.. so ban.

some other fun thing, 'the gaming shut-down system', that prevents students from playing games all day by prohibiting online game access in night time. This bill was passed about 1~ year ago too. this was stupid because students stole their parents' registration numbers and played game. and some companies just refused to provide game service to underaged people instead of submitting lots of money to reconstruct the server system.

Looks like my country really is willing to gain control over the internet, but sure not able.

@movomovo , you may also quickly install and test VPNBook, it is free! First install OpenVPN Connect Client http://swupdate.openvpn.net/downloads/openvpn-client.msi (install it, and run it), then go to http://www.vpnbook.com/freevpn  and download one of the VPNBook OpenVPN cerficitate bundles, save your generated username and password, then unzip the bundle and load it into OpenVPN client. After that click on the profile and enter username and password and click Login ! Your ip will change and most of the websites will be unblocked (or probably all of them)! Here is also tutorial http://www.vpnbook.com/howto/setup-openvpn-on-windows7  ;)

yes ultrasurf is also great alternative especially for china users, but slower than VPNBook, and extremly slower compared to PhantomPeer :) (I tested all of them..)
