SOS Revealing Vanilla Armor & Clothes - SE-AE

View File

This is a one-stop-shop replacer of almost all vanilla clothes and armors for the use with Schlongs of Skyrim.

They will fit the regular body, not the body builder.

I based this originally on SOS - Male Vanila Armor & Cloths Conversion for SOS 2.11. - all credit for most of those armors go there, they are included in this mod.

I ran everything through NIF Optimizer to make sure there are no problems in SE and then started to work: I edited, replaced or redid some of the meshes I did not like, I upscaled the smaller textures to 2K and then I added as much further armor and clothes as I could.

So now this mod contains not only almost all armors from the base game, Dawnguard & Dragonborn, but also almost all the respective clothes as well.

There are some 120 or so in total, some of which are obviously simply texture variances, I did not include all of the variations in the screens.

Later I saw, that Bad Dog also has a mod up, Bad Dog's Skimpy Clothes SE, which also covers most of the same.

Had I seen this earlier I would have saved myself the trouble ... ?

Anyhow, now it's done, so I thought I might aswell share it. Bad Dog's mod has some different versions to the clothes, also they include various patches etc.. You may want to check out that mod instead. Mine does not; it does not take Bruma or other mods or texture replacers etc. into account. I'm also not going to support any of that in the future, going down that rabbit hole is a never ending story. This is for the vanilla game armor and clothes only.

On the other hand it's completely standalone.

The SE Anniversary Edition is required as I forwarded the parameters for survival. If you don't have the AE edition, you will need to remove all the references from the ESP.

I posted an alternative ESP in the support thread of this mod if you don't have AE but only the regular SE installed.

This mod is ESL-flagged. Since it only edits meshes, textures and some entires, it can be added or removed any time. No scripts involved.

Here is the ESP without any references to anything other than Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn - i.e. all vanilla.

Use this to replace the ESP which comes with the mod if you don't own the Anniversary Edition.

do you think you can do a patch for futa characters? once I put on the regular clothing the schlong sticks out. Also great mod nonetheless.

Honestly, I wouldn't know how this could be done without some sort of scripting and spell mechanic.

See, any specific clothing/armour exists only once in the system, but in the ARMA entry there will be the definition of the male and the female version meshes. If a character is female, the engine will pick the female version. Now of course, you could make sure the female version of the clothing/armor is the same as the male version. Just have both definitions point to the same mesh. But then this would also be true for any female NPC wearing this piece. They would all be given the same male version of the clothing/armor. You may not want that. Also, btw, the male body is different from the female one, so the male version probably wouldn't fit. So you'd need some script which checks if the female is a futa, and if so it's somehow given the male version (which, again, may not fit properly) and otherwise the female version is selected.

Or something along those lines ... I wouldn't know how to do that. Maybe someone else has a clever idea around this.

Hey... I'm trying to revert a problem I got myself into. There's a revealing sos replacer mod on nexusmods. I instaled that one, but then I had second thoughts and uninstaled even before starting the game. Turns out the skimpy armors and clothes were still there. I deleted all saves and created a new one. They're there yet. If I instal this one (from LL) will there be any conflict or will just supersede it? Furthermore, the description here states it is safe to remove too. So, if I ever want to go back to normal outfits, I won't have the same problem as before, right? Thanks for the attention!
