gravediggers240 Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 I've done quite a bit of searching and found very little on this. Hopefully, that means this is a very simple problem to solve. So easy, nobody's even needed to post about it until now. After testing, Arousal works fine with MNC uninstalled. I know MNC has an older version of CF inside, but changing load order around in MO2 hasn't solved. Can't switch their places in the plugins panel, as CF is an ESM and MNC an ESP. Moving CF later in the load order on the left pane hasn't solved this problem. I do remember having this issue years ago in Oldrim, though I don't remember how I fixed it. Looking at that working load order, CF is earlier in the load order anyways. What am I doing wrong here? I feels simple but I can't find anything useful on this. I've checked through MNC's, CF's, Arousal Redux's, Aroused Creatures' support forums, as well as read through MNC's install guide, as well as the modding cheat guide and found nothing of use for this particular situation. Thanks in advance, if I figure out a solution I'll update this to help people in the future!

Ok, so: there's a YA MNC patch that quite literally up until now, has just caused CTD's on saveload. (I had to redo my entire modlist to figure out it was what was causing the crashes) Just to see what happens, I re-enabled it...and now my game is not only running but so is Arousal. Why a YA patch for MNC causes arousal, and only arousal, to break in CF is beyond me, but I now have a fix. I've been looking for a solution for a full week, and the second I start asking I immediately find the solution. By this logic, I should've asked sooner lol.

Could someone share me a load order (VR preferably, but SSE works) where creature arousal (they gain arousal) works? Having something to cross-reference would be nice. Could tell me if I'm missing something, or at the very least I can copy it and have a baseline where arousal works.

ELFXEnhancer patch.esp I'm guessing the issue is load order related, seeing someone else's that works tells me if I have something in the wrong order. At the very least, I can copy someone else's load order as a base, and build out to what I want from there.
gravediggers240 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 Oh yeah as an update it appears that Aroused Redux just isn't working, like at all for NPCs of any kind. I'll need to do more testing but from the little I've seen all NPCs are stuck at 0 too, and nobody appears in Puppetteer (like when you press N when looking at somebody, there's a menu in Aroused Redux where you can see stats and modify if you want) But the weird thing is, Arousal works for PC?
gravediggers240 Posted May 16, 2022 Author Posted May 16, 2022 I wonder, could it be a Jcontainers issue? Like maybe the version of CF gets angry at the version of Jcontainers I'm using? (or maybe Aroused Redux is mad?) I didn't think it could be, since other functions of those mods work correctly (CF registers creatures, which it didn't with an improper version of Jcontainers, and Aroused Redux properly handles PC arousal) I've got like, 3 separate versions of it. The most updated one (that doesn't seem to work with lots of LL mods), an old version, and some other unknown version that someone recommended using in a forum thread somewhere. Does HCoS have CF packaged into it? It's made by the same guy as MNC, dunno if he packaged it in there too. Maybe it's overwriting something?? I'm kinda at a loss here, I don't even have a crazy large loadorder. Time to go look at SSEdit for a while, haven't done that yet Edit: Aroused redux doesn't need Jcontainers or PapyrusUtil? huh, just sorta assumed it did (guessing it doesn't need either, can't actually find a required list on Redux, regular aroused doesn't need them at least)
gravediggers240 Posted May 16, 2022 Author Posted May 16, 2022 Arousal has started working for NPCs now, I don't know why. it seems to break and fix itself at random I was testing it in a vacuum environment, and it wouldn't work there either but now it does...? Something else I've noticed. Sexlab and Aroused can't see NPCs when you press the notification key. I figured the VR patch for SL would fix that, but apparently not? Edit: still not creatures, just NPCs.

Now time to translate that into my full loadorder smh... I've had to rework my entire load order like 4 times now, hopefully this is the last one for a while?
