Mods started causing Starbound to crash on launch, and I've no idea why

I've been able to use Sexbound for a while now with no issues, enjoyed it very much. However, for some reason, the mods now cause my game to no longer function. I hit play, and an error report comes up rather than the game. I'm putting the log below. I know it's the mods as if I remove all the Sexbound stuff from the folder, the game now works, and I've checked everything I can think to check, and I'm at a loss. Wanted to try here before moving onto the more general forums, for obvious reasons. Any help would be amazing, it really sucks suddenly not being able to play anymore

Well, i gotta ask, if this is caused by "editing the configs". Did you perhaps, open the PAK file in Notepad and change something? This error would imply a mod is trying to load, but it's files are broken.

I can't help but notice that the two mods being shown in that log are in .rar formats. Your mod formats need to either be a folder with a metadata file immediately inside, or a .pak file.

to further explain what red3dred said, the PAK files are archive files, like the .zip and .rar files, and starbound can either read the unarchived/extracted files, or PAK files, and the PAK files are impossible to edit without extracting the files, editing those files, then repacking the PAK file.

 

Fortunately, Starbound itself came with executables that can extract and repack the PAK files, Unfortunately, those use command line commands to use

Fortunately, theres a graphical interface made to extract/repack the PAK files called PAKit, that needs to know where starbound's executables for extracting/repacking PAK files for it to work, but is much easier to use.
