This is a new movie so be careful of spoilers. I just watched it last night and I think this scene that introduces the car is awesome.

Man, the Batmobile's got a huuuge fuuucking downgraaade hahahaha~! ?

That's ridiculous... Now it's just a cool racing car - they put "Batman" in a Hotwheel~! ?

Another reason why nowadays' films largely don't interest me, they aren't captivating anymore. ?

They really ought to make new stuff instead of keeping on milking the same old dying cows, it's barely got any cash left to give and it's started to sour and even turned into powder... ?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Tumblr, to the extent that I have the large Lego kit, the small Lego kit and the Hotwheels. This car is certainly not as good but the way it is introduced is great....oh, I also have the Lego kit of this one...it lights up too. lol.|

Amazing, do you think the movie was to intended as advertisement for its LEGO counterpart?

Because it's a better LEGO car than it is a movie Batmobile...

I mean, the scene itself is nice and I can appreciate it but the car's freaking puny haha, how's that supposed to be the vehicle of the man that bested Superman or even Bane?

Now, I know these aren't necessarily written by the same people but certainly the concept of consistency isn't alien to most, is it?

Or was that movie's events before or not even acknowledging any event previously seen in past movies?

Consistency...

But don't mind me, it's just a small rant.

Pretty much every iteration of Batman has not followed what came before. Just look at even the most recent few. We have Robert Pattinson, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, George Clooney, all playing a completely different batman. DC isn't like Marvel. Not everything flows. You have to take each movie as it comes pretty much. Two exceptions are the "Dark Knight" series (Christian Bale) and the Ben Affleck series (BvS, Suicide Squad, Justice League)

Yeah, but I rather mean the character's image, I can see that the events aren't in a continuous line and verily spreads all over the place but the character itself, past the actor, ought to be... I don't know, true to its identity, past small shenanigans; like, it feels unfitting of anything ever seen before.

Batman's most notorious tool was never just a black painted sportcar with hisses coming out of its engine and a jet engine farting at the back, it looked menacing and actually felt like a warning on its own more than just... Being there. To look just cool enough because why not. Because it costs less time and money than making a completely new strange yet true to its universe shape for it or something.

I get what you are saying. If you haven't seen the new movie I would recommend it. The car is honestly not in the movie too much and, much to my surprise, Robert plays a good Batman.

Are you telling me it's not riddled with tons upon tons of pseudo-feminist/woke-lecturing bullcrap?

I might just give it a go if that's the case.

There's also BladeRunner, Judge Dredd (oldies and the one in the megatower), I can't think of the others right now...

 BladeRunner owns...such a good flick.

As for Arnie, Running Man was a big thing.  A Steven King short story.

Judge Dredd with Stallone and Bullock was said to predict the future...lol

Have you seen Inglourious Basterds?  That was good.  Not sci-fi, but cool.

For pure sci-fi try Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.  That's gold.

Hey, thanks, I wasn't expecting so many haha.

I'll try to get ahold of them.

Why not Starship Troopers ? Total Recall is a great one, even if it looks like a random schwarzy action movie the designs are very neat and the plot actually good.
Robocop too, the first one ofc
The Fly, if you don't mind the Cronenberg type of horror

Terminator, if you haven't, the 3 firsts are neat (2nd defo da best)

And if someday you're bored, or you just want to relax, 2001. Hard to recommand, it's not an easy movie to watch.

Great, thanks! I was leaning towards ST a while ago too, I really liked what little I saw, what with the subtleties pertaining to their government and the level of detail they put into the background of the story.

What is 2001 about? A plain number makes it rather vague haha... Wait, is it about the "towers + planes = bad day" events?

Oh, okay. Why would it be an uncomfortable movie?

It's not uncomfortable, it's just very, very long. 2h40, and most of the time there's very little action. Are you ready to watch 20 minutes of angry monkeys yelling at each others ? Because that's the whole introduction XD

Just timeless, the first movie was kinda doing everything right. Although personally I wasn't really disappointed by the 2 nexts, but i get why people felt them lackluster. Haven't seen the last, but opinions are very mitigates about this one.

Me too.  Some pretty cool scenes in them. Some WERE corny too...lol

Agreed though.  The first was best.  Hands down.

Gotta love that one.

Anyone any bit interested in movies, or at the very least action ones, ought to gush at this.
