Sselhak Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hi! I unfortunately have no experience with this, but is it possible to bring simple models from SketchUp as toys in the game? SketchUp can save in the following formats: 3DS, DWG, DFX, FBX, KMZ, OBJ, VRML, XSI. Is this ispossible, are there any instructions for this? Thanks and greetings, Sselhak
OysterMug Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I've never tried it, but SketchUp can export to DAE (Collada) format, which you should be able to convert to a TK17 Toy using CollaTKane. If that doesn't work, you can also try exporting to OBJ format, importing it into Blender, then exporting that to a DAE for use with CTK.
Daspex Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I tried it once to use a simple SketchUp model but for some unknown reason it didn't worked, but try the way OysterMug already said.If nothing works try to use TurboSquid, they have a whole lot of free 3d models and most of them are already in blender,obj,fbx,3ds and many more standard formats.95 percent of my 3d models i used in my rooms are from that site.
OysterMug Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I think Berger once told me some programs (3DMAXX?) output DAE files in "Reverse Byte Order" that CTK does not support. If this is the case, exporting to OBJ and going through Blender may be the only option.
