AE Dialog not showing or disappearing during interactions, that shows a corrupt save image, forcing a game restart.

Has anyone had this glitch, and or got a fix for it?  This is driving me nuts happens very regularly, and half my play time is taken up with restarting game.

What, user error? No fix for that as far as I know.

 

Which dialogue interactions - all of them or just specific, e.g. sex related or with merchants?

What shows a corrupt save image? What is a save image?

When did this start?
