Come on with that shit, the saves where broken long before Lovestruck even came out so don't even try to blame that on EA.  I tested every post you made and their all broken crap.

You do know that each save that was made was made in between updates, patches, and dlc right? After almost every update to the game mods break BECAUSE of EA and since the folders are so big the mods in the folders don't get updated, they just get taken out on the page. Lovestruck broke ALOT of mods that were in the most recent save file, so much so that I myself took a whole month off from the game to remove/updare mods that were installed in my game just for Triggers save alone and am still not completely finished. That said, maybe take your anger down a peg and let Trigger start over like he said, or don't.

I didn't play this mods save, but by save broke (loading forever) after the EA update too.

Thanks to member on LL told me that it may caused by DX11, and S4S can fix it by batch fixes "Update images to DX11".

Perhaps batch fix all mods thorough S4S can fix your save too.

Trigger, I do not envy what you're going to have to deal with, and I know you're probably already planning on it, but now would be a good time to prune the number of non-CAS mods used, even if they work.

Honestly, I've been doing it myself with a few of the optional mods, with surprisingly no errors. I also removed the 15 clubs per sim mod.

Oh, and I've got an issue where the new world's lots don't load for me. I haven't been able to narrow it down at all. I don't know if it's one of my mods or one that's used for this save... but if you're having the same issue and end up figuring out which mod is causing the problem, can you let us know? I'm starting to think it's a furniture CC I've got somewhere, because none of the scripts seems to be the cause.

Can you guys share which broken mod you identified?

On my part, but I only made a couple of test, UI was completely broken 'cause of 15 club, but once I updated it that seems fine, although I haven't played for more than 5 minutes yet.

Who is this Sim here if I may ask?

SF04.jpg

She isn't in the save, she is one of Santana-red sims and she's either the girlfriend or the girlfriend's sister of of "uncle" Adkins, don't remember the name. You can find more on Santana thread

Are you sure the save is completely unsalvageable? I tried updating all mods and removing outdated ones and the only game breaking issues i encountered so far is that i can't load lots in tomarang and the new lovestruck world.

After running through and updating all my tuning mods so far the game works fine using this save except for two issues, one of the households in the Get Famous world I forget the name is completely nude and hairless despite my downloading all the CC but whatever evict and forget, the second problem took awhile to narrow down, at precisely midnight two days into the game I'm hit with simulation lag so bad that for a good while I thought the game had frozen, until one time I just let it play and went to take an IRL shower, when I came back it got past the bump and I saw what was hundreds of club invites more than enough to overrun the 200 notification wall limit, so clearly the fifteen clubs per sim and the sheer size of this save don't exactly play nice together even after updating it.

Beyond that for people having problems it's always safe to separate mods into subfolders I always put script mods and tuning mods in separate folders to make it easier to track down when something goes wrong 9/10 times if you have a problem leading to a CTD/freeze or major issue its an outdated tuning or script mod as the culprit, CAS parts and build mode items rarely are the culprit outside of missing textures or wonky behaviour related specifically to using said CC.

I tried looking in Santana Red's thread, couldn't find the Sim I was looking for :/

Firstly, I wanna thank you for making my favorite save file! It was sooo fun when it was working, I think I used one of the older builds where the Broke family lived across from Fusilli's HQ. Omg it was the perfect start! Ignore the hate and I appreciate your work! I'm trying to salvage some of my old saves.

Aah, sorry, I really thought she was one of these below but I was wrong. So maybe she is one of Tibo's sims? Maybe one of the Norwood Twins? That or another unpublished sim from Santana since she appears in Sofia claque

Haven't tried the save file since the update because that save had been broken with outdated mods for a while. But what I did do was go in and save each and every household, updated mods that could be updated and removed ones that couldn't, started a new save and used MC cheats at the mailbox and deleted all sims from world. Then dropped every sim I saved into world and let them find their own place to live and their own jobs. I know it's not the same, but it's a decent work around if you just want the sims and the families to play around with. Edit: I also done away with the annoying Basemental Drugs mod. Sims where chain smoking and could never hold a conversation with any of them. Basemental really needs to work on a cooldown for that.

Same, I've had that happen too but throw in the can't click on sims or objects, nothing stops when I pause time, and when I try to build a gallery lot in the last 2 expansions, it does the same infinite loading screen as you mentioned.😂

Could you let us know which tuning and script mods they are? would really help narrow down the search, thanks.

This person isn't wrong , yes EA did mess up alot of mods and lovers lab has alot of broken mods it's self.  But the point is Trigger needs to Fully test the saves before uploading things to insure they run smooth even before these broken patches come out.   I would not depend on other mod creators for his save, but instead go and do it myself for that things do run smooth.   But either way i think the save is good just needs work and EA and trigger are the blame for the saves being crap. Hopefully a full rebuild will make it more stable.

I think at the time Trigger uploaded the saves and everything was working fine, least to my recollection from when I downloaded the saves and the files that came with it but over time mods break and it's hard to account for EVERY SINGLE ONE. Not to mention Trigger isn't getting paid to do this (least I don't think) so as I see it this is more of a hobby kind of thing outside their real life stuff they probably have going on so I can't imagine them wanting to spend all their time hunting down and removing every broken mod that pops up in a save that only ever grows over time. Shit I don't even like having to search through the mods I have installed to find the FEW or the ONE that's messing up my save. Hence why I said it'd be best to just wait for Trigger to either start over or fix what they can WHEN they can instead of getting angry at them as that solves nothing aside from possibly turning them off from even wanting to continue doing this for US, seeing as how they really don't have to. A few sim content creators have already quit because of the amount of damage lovestruck caused, I'd hate to see Trigger join that list because people have a bad attitude.

Is it possible to download the stuff without using torrents? I'm on university wi-fi and they do not allow torrent downloads.

A large portion of the file size comes from clothes, hair, tatts, etc. from each sim on the save.

If you don't mind putting in some work, you have two choices:

1. You could try downloading the JUST the save file and then downloading each sim's files one by one from the creators of each sim. But this is still probably gonna hit your bandwidth hard since there's tons of sims in the file. And you'll probably end up with a few naked/bald sims even after all that work.

2. Download JUST the save file. Go through the hundreds of sims on the save file and dress them yourself. You don't need to play each household, just go to the households menu on the map when you load the save and get to work.

Then you'd just have to download whichever script mods you actually want. Like MCCC and Wicked Whims, for example.

A third option would be to just pick a household from the save that you want to play. Then download only those sims and any related sims from the sims' creator. Then create your own new save and place those sims in there.

Unlike previous instances of copy pasting, the save is gonna be rebuilt from the ground up. 100% cleaned CC folder, limited mods, and massive reduction in sims.

On the last bit. All sims removed will be uploaded as optional downloads. There are a lot of sims that have no connection or ties to any households. So like 50 porn stars and all of the easter egg sims. I'll probably throw the service NPCs in an optional download if they don't have connections to any households.

But I will state that mods don't cause lag, if they're programmed correctly. CC and sim count causes lag. Over half the contributors had tested this.

You're right about the mods working when I last uploaded things.

Also yeah I'm not getting paid.

This save was a several year long collaboration between a number of LL's bigger simmers. It was bound to cause some issues with EA's spaghetti code.

Lovestruck is still booty and most of the people involved in the save haven't updated yet because of that.

When things get manageable we'll remake this save.

In the mean time I am working on a Vanilla+ save. Low mod count(I'll still have a suggestion list) and it's primarily just me with one other contributor so far. I'm actually making a lot of progress so the first preview build should be out within the month.

I don't know much about modding The Sims 4. And yet, how could an update break a save that was almost entirely cosmetic content?

Code is still code my guy, one minor tweak can cause a whole heap of issues and EA LOVES to tweak ALOT of coding that messes with the codes modders tweak themselves to create the content they put out. There's alot that goes into modding that you don't see hence why after every update modders have to update their content and put out patches even for cosmetics. Prime example of this, I had a mod installed in my game called [SimBlob] Gradient Tights, a cosmetic mod... this mod caused the terrain in my game to glitch and become see through. You just never know what messing with the code on something minor can do to something that has absolutely nothing to do with
