Hmm, not sure why gofile tries to make you pay a premium, I just tried uploading an 11Gb zip file, and they let me no issue. Wasn't even signed in or anything. Only thing you can't do with a free account, is keep your files there for a long time. The file only gets deleted after 10 days of inactivity. So to keep the file up, it only needs to be downloaded once every ~10 days. Hell, I'd be willing to download it for y'all every 10 days if that's what it takes.

Thanks for this mod and save files. I love the game, but dislike vanilla sims have no time to makeover the whole town, and this mod / save file helped me a LOT!

 

However, I encountered a problem regarding NPCs in game. The NPCs I meant are, butlers, maids, mixologists, hosts in restaurants, chefs, etc. The problem is that 99% of them don't show up on the lots.

 

Whenever I hire butlers, the notification pops out that I successfully hired a butler, but even after waiting 1-2 in-game days, they never show up.

 

Most bars in lots did not have mixologists / bartenders. The hire button when clicking on the bar is also greyed out, and "mixologist is already hired for this lot" is written. But no mixologist / bartender shows up.

This also happens to hosts, chefs, etc.

 

Is there a fix for the above problem? Should I assign random sims as NPCs using the "Assign NPC role" mod?

 

EDIT:
Turns out the solution is deleting this mod: "Keep Sims in Home Region".

Which is a shame because the mod is nice.

 

EDIT2: Encountered another different problem.

Tried out going to university, but my university housing is empty (no roommates) and the surroundings are also empty.

This is really strange to me and I don't know why it's behaving this way. If there is nothing to pull from it should create a randomly generated sim to fill the world so I think something else is at play.

 

Might use this as a chance to give an update on the progress of the rebuild.

 

Ghost and I are continuing to give makeovers to all of the gallery sims for use as NPCs. Every expansion has come with a new group of sims for us to makeover so there shouldn't be an issue making townies for each world and added lot types. If we do run out of them, Ghost and I have already made progress on grabbing sims from the handheld games to fit certain roles.

 

My plan for the college situation is to use the gallery students as roomates and mrrakkon's college students as random passersby townies. Reason being is that roommates are given a randomly generated major while mrrakkon's sims have a major fitting their story.

 

I'm just going around expanding traits and adding relations while Ghost and mrrakkon make new sims for me to throw in the save.

 

Still no release date but do take note that substantial progress is being made.

One caveat I should mention... the mod sometimes has trouble picking up a swatch .package that is "associated" to a main skin/eye/makeup .package.  It will at times only report the swatch .package, even when both are needed.

 

For example, let's say a sim uses an overlay that requires:

breastoverlay.package (the main overlay file)

breastoverlay_alt1.package (one of the swatches, the others are *_alt2, *_alt3, and so on...)

 

BE will generate a report that only breastoverlay_alt1.package is needed, when in fact both breastoverlay.package and breastoverlay_alt1.package are needed. It's a little tricky, but if you're familiar with the names of .package files that this is relevant to, it should be easier to catalog the CC

There's no solo download. It's one of Ghost's Maxis remakes. Just save her to your gallery.

Already have the venue changes mod, universal venue list and turbo career mods. Not sure how to fix this.

Is there a list of venues for the turbo careers?

I thought I would do my part and help with the seeding. I'm currently trying to download everything in the torrents and will host them on my seedbox. I have 5 gigabit fiber now (download and upload) and I'm squeezing every last piece of bandwidth that I can from it. So hopefully there won't be any issues with others getting the files or anyone having to leave your pc on all night (but I do that anyway with 2 of my own). 

 

Can't wait for the next update!

 

EDIT: Files are now up and running and will stay up until there are newer files to host. So consider this a backup of a backup

Okay considering following Scientist is a feature of the game in the Get to Work pack and not a mod, that is kind of concerning.

 

I'll look into it and I'd appreciate anyone else to see if they can replicate this issue.

It's coming along.

 

Since I'm always transparent, the primary reason it's not out yet is... Well there's A LOT to do. Previous versions usually added on average about two households to play with and a handful of NPCs.

 

The rebuild will have all that on top of new things Ghost and Mrrakkon have been sending me.

 

I wish I could give people a list of things that are "done" but I can't really do that as I'm working on everything in intervals to avoid burnout.

I will say that all the lots are in the save and all the sims are in it as well. I'm working on relationships, careers, traits, and skills. A lot of the sims in the save are "old" and don't have certain perks or traits since mrrakkon made those sims prior to updates that included things such as likes and dislikes and lifestyles.

Don't touch the CC. Just get the normal installer and follow the instructions. I also wouldn't click the boxes for all the offered expansions even if you own them as some of them, such as the Vampire outfits, look silly on random sims.

The one listed up front isn't really meant to be used with normal play. I use it because mrrakkon uses the save to make his videos/screenshots and I thought it'd be fun for you all to see the "canon" height of characters. I suggest removing it once you're done with the novelty because base game animations don't work properly with it. 

As for other height mods. I wasn't paying close attention to the whole scaling thing but a lot of them became incompatible when WW came out with an update to how the tongue was rigged. You're gonna want to look around for one that was updated/made specifically for the new rig.

Hi, my Download-Software (Downloadstation on Synology NAS) says "invalid torrent file". Other torrents work. Is that because no one is seeding or could it be that I need to try another software?
