I just did a clean install of Skyrim with only a few addons and already I broke it: http://imgur.com/3ErGYA9

For whatever reason when I started the game I was in the driver's seat on the ride to Helgen: http://imgur.com/aOq4Adp

Helgen's gate never opened and so I ended up crashing and managed to flip the wagon: http://imgur.com/T12YAXI

 

If I try to use a quick start none of the npcs move they all have their hands to their sides like they are trying to flex on someone.

 

Oh and the faces look terrible. They look like some anime porn crap and their eyes, their eyes are lifeless and unblinking.

 

Is there a step by step guide on how to not break your skyrim and make it look pretty?

Most likely its one of your addons. Maybe they are depended on something that you no longer have? Like FINIS animation files or texture files. You might want to go through the readmes and see what their requirements are.

Sonds like a FNIS issue, you installed animations and didnt ran FNIS for users.

 

Take time to read descriptions of whatever mod you are downloading (especially body replacers and animations).

Well fixed the mysterious issue of everyone falling out of the wagon at the start and General Tullius getting dragged for a quarter mile. It was FNIS, I will miss being able to drive the wagon however. Thought that was a neat change that came with an update or something. Now I am dealing with an issue when I try to change gender in character creation I ctd.

flip-wagon seem to be related to any mod types who directly edit beginning sequence near Helgen, or horses in general.

 

Mods that could cause this:

 

Older version like:

Animated prostitution.

EFF + Horse plug-ins It will move the horses faster then they should and sometimes flip the wagon when they collide.

Ridable Carriages etc..

 

As for your crashes do you have too many hair mods installed or tattoo. If so you need a dll file that will stop precaching of parts in showrace menu.

This fixed that issue, and FNIS fixed the previous issue with the flipping of the wagon. Now I have an issue with my character twirling around in circles as the idle animation. Not sure who thought that a twirling idle was a good idea. There is nothing cute about someone spinning around like a jackass.

You installed either TBBP from dragonfly or Sevenbase, just use any other idel animation like http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11954 that will fix the issue

If using TBBP, go to the ADEC body.  In the optional downloads is a replacer that replaces the twirling animation (it's not body-specific, it just affects TBBP).  Just pop it in with NMM / Wrye *ash / whatever and the twirling stops - and the nausea and dizziness will soon pass...
