Help needed for Compilation problem

Recommended Posts

Hi mates,

So basically here is my problem: i wanted to instal the recently ré-uploaded Compilation for Sexout you can found in that topic:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17427-sexout-compilation/

But bassically the game work fine until a try to load something related to sexout, that means if a try to activate a single .esm from the compilation, *bam* crash on load, FEdit don't show a simple warning at hall, and i can play correctly with the  following programs:

 Latest (version 3b2) NVSE.

 Latest NVSE Extender.

Astymma's Compatibility Skeleton (it must be this skeleton, no other will do).

 Mod Configuration Menu (MCM).

SexoutNG framework (remember to install both Core and Data!)

SCR (Sexout Common Resources) is needed by most plugins so you might just install it right away too.

but not with a single (or full selection) of a .esm from the compilation

so i just don't understand why the game keep crashing with that, what did i miss, someone have an idea? if any info is needed just ask, i may have forgot something,

Thanks All

Edit: i forgot to say that i have checked the load order explained to me in the thread or the compilation, as i sayd FEdit don't found anything suspicious

Nice to see you here now.... :P .

Lets recap.

Using a basic install of Sexout and the required mods listed in your OP it works and no crash, correct.

According to the link you are using Sexout 2.6.77. Not a beta. Also using the Stable version of Sexout Common Resources.

FNVEdit completes the process until you see Background Loader: Finished on the bottom of the window?

Questions:

Order of installation. Did you install the Sexout Requirements before the Compilation or afterwards?

Are you against loading mods singulary, or not using the compilation? If so have you tried? Did it work?

Are you using FOMM or NMM or manually installing mods. Are you using more than one way to install mods? How did you install the mods for Sexout? The Compilation?

Finally most individuals here will need to see the load order before they help. There might be some mod that has been installed that don't play well with Sexout.

Hello again, so indeed let's recap:
-Well the basic instal  (if you mean the 5 basic needed plug/scripts) then yes, but i never tryed to instal sexout mod by mod( i just got the compilation and go)
-it's correct, 2.6.77 not a beta, checked it again to be sure
-FEdit indeed completes the process with the "Background Loader: finished" line

-here is my order of instalation:
          - first FalloutNV.esm
          - all the official add(honestheart and all)
          - sexout.esm, sexoutcommonResources (note: i don't find the sharedresources.esm)
          - SexoutStore.esm,Slavery.esm, Legion.esm,Pregnancy.esm, msexBase.esm
          - all of the rest, who are technically not playing a role on the crash

-Loadind the most singulary don't change the crash problem
- ahem good question: i just taked the files and but them in my directory, this is what i understood of the how to for the mod, i only use FOMM to be sure the load order is correct, and yes i just used the compilation when i installed the 5 first needed programms as asked in the HowTo

For the last part i played without any mod and the game still crashed , now i usually only use one mode: the Warhammer40k conversion mod, but it's not supposed to conflict with anything

Ah.. a couple of issues I see.

1) You are missing MCM. Wont cause a crash but you will need it.

2) You aren't using an mod manager namely FOMM. It is advised to use one for installation of Sexout. Many sexout mods are fomod packed. Always use FOMM for mod installations.

3) Crashing because it is because of doing a manual installation the  files that are needed weren't properly setup potentially causing a crash.

4) Load order can be checked using BOSS and then FNVEdit and finally minor changes due to record conflicts at least until you learn how to create a merged patch/ bashed patch

What to do... 2 choices.. Neither good.

1) Manually remove all Sexout related files... potentually removing other files that are needed

2)Start fresh. I believe this would be the best course of action. It would be the most reliable way to make sure that no conflicting files are left and that no needed files have been removed.

If you choose the second option. With your level of experience I would advise that you install the mods individually one at a time. Start with the excellent instructions here then go to the SCR stable page here. Gather the files found on the second post and install in that order. Questions can be posted on their forum page. Choose if you want the Store or Pregnancy and continue down the page.

Test the clean install after Sexout has been installed, SCR, then Store and Pregnancy. It should work well. Install a few mods of choice from the Download Section. Test. Make appropriate zip of data folder between each installation to be able to go back. When you have enough sex mods :D installed and tested start loading your mainstream mods.

Use FOMM for all mods installed. If you need to customize any mods per the authors instructions like body mods etc. Create a folder on the desktop and arange the folder correctly and use 7.z to compress it and then you can use FOMM to install.

The way mentioned above will help in the future if you need to upgrade or remove any singular or multiple mods from the game folder.

note: i don't find the sharedresources.esm)

Don't worry about that esm. You don't want to use that yet. It is experimental. I only posted it to show that the new system worked with the older system. SCR is all that you need right now unless specifically told otherwise by a mod author or tech support.

Well look like i fucked up the skeleton instal, now all works nice and smooth, thanks for the help mate ^^

Good to hear.

Remember if you load any body mods they also might change the skelly. Remember this because you will have to reactivate the skelly again.

I knew it really couldn't be a compilation issue it had to be something that was done wrong either before or after the compilation. I know because I also use the compilation as a short cut to get my load order up and running. Then I start updating various files as needed when they come out.
