Consistent CTD when encountering Legion

I've been fighting this problem for a good week now, but my game keeps crashing whenever I get close to any NPC or location affiliated with the Legion. Try to talk to Vulpes in Nipton? Crash. Try to rescue prisoners at the camp? Crash. I've been mainly avoiding Legion areas just so I can play the game, but it's getting to the point where I can't complete storyline quests.

I suspect it might have something to do with Tryout or it might be a conflict between a Sexout mod and something else. No other (non-Sexout) mods I have installed alter or affect the Legion or interaction with NPCs. Turning off the Sexout mods solves my crashing problem, but I'm not sure how to fix or alter Tryout. 

I've been able to sort out most issues on my own in the past, but I'm honestly stumped here. Any suggestions/ideas?

Before someone else asks ... Load Order.

 

I just tested my load order and Legion locations and not even a stutter. I am running SCR and SRR and still no problems there. I have no clue what could be causing the issue with the Legion. Hopefully after you post a load order someone here can look at your issue and give some ideas. It is likely something else is causing the issue, something else that has been added by mods.

You have a lot of mods that I am unfamiliar with. Hopefully someone here will recognize some mod that might be the cause. If not the pain and frustrating task of disabling one at a time to see what is causing it may be the only answer.

 

I will give you my load order in case that might help. At least you know that I currently have no issues with stuttering etc r/t Legion. Perhaps this might help focus on other potential mods that are causing the issue. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Are you 100% certain you're using the latest stable sexout mods and plugins? That might be the problem.

 

Also, your sexout esps may need to go go further down your load order as well as your esms unless those other esms absolutely need to be the furthest down. You seem to be using a lot of old sexout mods so there may be a conflict in one of those. You'll have to do some trial error runs I'm afraid. Unless someone knows for certain what cause this problem. Do any of these other non-sexout mods alter the legion in anyway?

I'm running the latest version of Sexout. Since posting I've moved the esps and esms lower on the load order but with no luck. I don't have any non-sexout mods which involve the Legion. For the sake of completeness, what are these old sexout mods you mentioned? 

 

Is it something that just started recently? Did it work before for this load order?

 

To be honest, I've spent a lot of time doing user-made quests like New Vegas Bounties and the like. I tend to stay away from the Legion when I play those quests so it's hard to figure just when this would have started happening. I only noticed it when I felt like playing some of the NCR quests. Everything else works just fine, it's just Legion NPCs that seem to cause the game to crash.

I recommend you disable all sexout mods, and fire up your current saved game.  Once it is running proceed to make a full manual save (no auto or quick saves).  Then exit the game and enable your sexout plugins.  Fire up the game and load the save you just made and try again to see if you still crash.

 

If that doesn't work then you should disable your sexout mods again and go to the clean saved game you made earlier and try to encounter the legion without sexout to see if you crash.  If you crash with your clean save then your problem isn't with sexout it is with one of the other mods you have installed.  It could be a conflict, dirty edit, missing mesh\texture.....hard to say.

what are these old sexout mods you mentioned

As long as you are running the current stable versions of the Sexout Mods that are listed on your load order I don't see any problem. I don' t see any mods that I haven't seen being run on others here on LL recently. They just might not be main stream. None of the ones I see should cause a crash when near Legion.

Must of had some script or something running in your old save. The clean save removed that reference and allowed for a new fresh start. Keep in mind that doing this during sexout quest and such will erase any progress you have and start you again in the beginning.
