Khiropter Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Well it seems someone managed to change the "war" that is in skyrim to actually look like a war. Take a look on nexus on this mod seems rather interesting. Â http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37216//?
Demonhunter Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Checked it out and looks like the way skyrim should have been, more mods need to be like this
Guest Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Tracking it for later, more bugfree and overhaul completed version.I hope the author considers implementing a final blow to the Thalmor from Imperials or Stormcloacks after the civil war questline finishes and the whole of Skyrim is reunified again under the banner of Stormcloacks or the Empire.
Khiropter Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 ye that would be interesting never liked those high elves )
MrBlazzar Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Tracking it for later, more bugfree and overhaul completed version.I hope the author considers implementing a final blow to the Thalmor from Imperials or Stormcloacks after the civil war questline finishes and the whole of Skyrim is reunified again under the banner of Stormcloacks or the Empire. Â Technically if the empire wins the Thalmor would stay as they are currently in a "alliance" with the Thalmor after the Thalmor crushed the Empire in a previous war (name escapes me sorry) and they signed a treaty so the empire wouldn't be destroyed. So that would only happen once the Stormcloaks won. But that would be a pretty awesome feature if he manages to add it.
Guest Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 In fact, many parts of the civil war plot has been cut for the final release of the game, you can see it with the Creation Kit... I suppose this mod is based on it, especially for the voices...
D_ManXX2 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 This mod is well done. i would suggest to update to 1.1 if you don't want script errors to occurs.
Creamlord666 Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I have watched it from day one and never had the guts to try it out yet coz its still beta and had to clean my Skyrim game from previous mod-mash-up lately. When I'm done with my latest playthrough I will definately give it a shot and post some expressions here.
lordofthedread Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 The first version made my game CTD but seems the 1.1 solved the issue, cant tell how it changes the civil war yet as my new toon is only lvl 4.
Ailsa Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I am tracking it with great interest. Â I already use, and love, his other mod "Dragon Combat Overhaul"
D_ManXX2 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Be very care full with this mod some version seemed to have fucked up my save game. And every time new version comes out you can't use previous save games any more. So that is major bummer. Since there is no guarantee this mod currently even works it will be best to wait before even installing. Unless you don't mind having to start a new game every day. Â So far it seem even the latest version has game breaking bug, once start with this mod active kiss your save game goodbye.
Valgo Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I think someday I'll have to download this guys mods just for their epic descriptions
Creamlord666 Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Always backup your savegames, clean them with Skyrim Save Cleaner and use BOSS. This routine has saved me a lot of trouble in the past time. Current version of Civil War Overhaul is 1.1 and its fun to meet random groups of Srormcloak Thieves and Imperial Mages wandering the wilderness and see how they react towards you. A little note to BOSS users who use Bloodmoon Rising and Moonlight Tales together - BOSS like to set load order but you have to check that Bloodmoon Rising loads BEFORE Moonlight Tales, otherwise bad things can happen after you transform into a Werewolf and back. So far I haven't notice any major bugs and flaws in CWO but that may be so since I tend to play the Civil War at the very end. Maybe I should start it right in the beginning and see how it impacts my gameplay?
Manax Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I am just getting into the civil war, but did enjoy the difficulty of losing the battle for white run playing as Imperial. Some nice surprises thrown into mix. I look forward to rest of the war. No problems with broken scripts or ctd's so far.
