Essentially I am quite content with the mod list I have, but I was hoping for someone to maybe help me to try and make it a bit better as far as display goes, I dont really know how to describe it but I think people will understand after reading my list of mods which isnt anything special really:

Note: I do have some mods that dont seem to do much like the Khajit and Argonian one for some reason but its not game breaking or anything

Anyway... I kinda wondered what other mods will be compatible with it or will improve looks, I would have wanted to use SAM, Touched by Diabella, Bijin and Saranaholic along with the Khajit to give the game a whole new look, like a high HD look both in meshes and textures without breaking the game or ruining what I have already(if thats even possible that is).

essentially what other mods or even body types should I get so it wont break anything and make the game more visually appealing, I still have the vanilla hair as options on guys even though I used a replacer and some NPCs also have Vanilla hair and as far as hair physics go... well they dont work for some reason(with Saranaholic it says it is missing some esp so it cant run) and other characters well it wont animate either.

I seen some of the screenshots people provided here and kinda wanted to improve the game to that level without making well everyone look out of place, a hag should look like a hag, an old fart should look like an old fart(which is why im considering getting SAM if possible again with what I have).

so essentially, any advice on how to improve on the list without breaking anything, or hell maybe even fixing some things people see here that pose a problem.

A many thanks

'Looks' are highly subjective - what looks great to you looks crap to someone else. For example some people go for the 'dark and menacing' look for Skyrim while others go for more light and colour. Some people wont deviate from 'the lore' while others just go with whatever tickles their fancy.

The way I look at it  is that there are three main areas:

1. The environment - grass, trees, rocks etc.

2. The built environment - buildings (interior and exterior).

3. NPCs - human, creature and animal.

An ENB preset will affect how everything looks and lighting mods will too. There are overhauls and makeovers covering 1, 2, or 3 to greater or lesser degrees.

All of this takes a lot of time and a lot of trial and error to get to the Skyrim you want.

It is more often user error that breaks things rather than the mods.

SAM is a body mod, it doesn't really make any difference to how old a person looks per se.

I made a list of what I'm running to improve the "look" of the game with some descriptions and some load order notes.

Note:  I'm running on a mid-tier computer.  If you have a high-end computer you will want some additional mods and/or different mods.  If you're running with an older computer it may be too much.

Regarding body types, which I don't think I mention in the linked posts, I use Mister B's OMG Goddess (with some of my own tweaks):  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36743

Body mods wont really do much, neither SAM, nor TBD, nor any other.

One thing that defines  how game looks is lighting. Select an ENB with visuals you like, they often come with a recomended mod list.

Its a subjective category, no wrong answers. Id go for https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3352?tab=description

I loved the old RealVision enb, and this is close enough.

Beyond that - grab SMIM. Its very hard to look at skyrim without it once you try it.

For NPC beutification - you can get a sandwitch of botox for blanket improvements (and patcher for modded npcs, superceeded by pandorable collection with Bijin series over both. I do find such a setup to be satisfactory, might fit your fancy as well. Special mention for BodyMorphs - criminally underused feature of racemenu, there is no reason everyone in skyrim should be built exactly the same. This thing makes usage easy: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/90812-jbs2bg-bodyslide-to-bodygen-convertergenerator/

Just feed it a dozen presets from nexus, and get some diversity.

There is also a countless selection of retextures to pick from on top of that.
