[Solved] BBP working for some things but not others

I’m using COSIO. I built my bodies in BodySlide, as well as my HDT clothing, but only the breasts have physics with clothing; the butt doesn’t. However, nude bodies do have both breast and butt physics. Is this a load order problem? Seems weird, because the order is identical to what I previously used before switching PCs, and back then the BBP worked fine on both nude bodies and clothing.

It’s even weirder than I thought, because I found out that some clothing does have butt physics, just not all of it, even thought it all comes from the same “Vanilla Outfits Bodyslided” pack. Now I know this pack doesn’t have HDT installed on certain sets (like metal armours), but even just looking at clothing (which is all supposed to be HDT), I’ve found that with some sets, like the tavern clothes, the butt is affected as well as the breasts, but others, like belted tunic, robes, or roughspun tunic, it’s only the breasts.

I’m really confused.

Commenting to bump this thread—I don’t know if this is preferable to starting another one.

I’d like to re-iterate my issue:

I have BodySlide, COSIO, and Vanilla Outfits BodySldied HDT installed. COSIO is installed with the “Sticky clam, belly, NO clit—realistic bounce” settings. Outfits are built with the default COSIO body preset.

Breast and butt physics work on the nude body, but belly physics do not. Outfits are a mixed bag: some of them have physics intentionally left out (e.g. steel armour); a few of them work as intended, with both breast and butt physics active (e.g. tavern clothers); but for the most part, while breast physics do work, butt physics do not (e.g. mage robes, roughspun tunic, fur armour, etc.).

I also have Requiem installed, which may be altering the files, but the thing is, I used to have the same setup on my previous computer, and it worked fine. Unless this is due to interference from another mod which I didn’t notice, the only thing that’s potentially different is my load order (I don’t remember what the one I used on my previous computer was).

Fixed it.

Apparently the latest version of Vanilla Outfits BodySlided is incompatible with COSIO for some reason. Mod Organizer indicates that they’re overwriting each other, but no conflicts show up in xEdit, so I have absolutely no clue what’s going on. If anyone is aware of what’s going on, please let me know.

In the meantime, I’ve switched back to the previous release of Vanilla Outfits BodySlided (which is the one I was using on my previous PC), which works fine.

xEdit only shows conflicts between Plugins.

MO shows you if multiple mods want to install a file with the same name. In that case you have to decide what files should be used (means which files overwrite and win by getting expressed ingame).

xEdit conflicts: multiple Plugins that change the same parameters

MO and other mod managers: show what mod files will be overwritten

Check what files exactly get overwritten in MO.

Turns out the most recent version of VOBS includes overrides for both the female body .nifs, and the reference RefTemplate.xml, which normally are taken charge of by bodyslide. I have no clue why they thought that was necessary. I think there might be some other incompatibility, however, because even if I change the priority and have COSIO and BodySlide overwriting VOBS, it still doesn’t work. Maybe it would work if I built my outfits to a separate file, then compressed it to a .7z and place that in my load order before COSIO and BodySlide, but eh—the previous version doesn’t need that and works just as well.
