CTD when leaving cities after installing SL

Until recently, my load order was fairly stable. Then I got that damned Anniversary Edition DLC. Now, no matter what the fuck I do any time I have sexlab installed it crashes when leaving cities, even when I get rid of all of the CC content.

I've done quite a bit of testing to get to this point. It seems to specifically be sexlab conflicting with something. I've done tests both with and without the creation club content (removing it from the folders.) and the game is perfectly fine up until I install SL. Why its doing this now is beyond me, and that it keeps happening when I go back to what was previously a perfectly stable load order is baffling.

 

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

 Im afraid the best advice for AE edition is - rollback AE update.

As it stands right now - it breaks everything or almost everything, precious little is ported to it and a number of large modders allready stated that AE exclisive stuff is not getting support beyond porting SE stuff to it at best.

 As for creation club - never used anything from there. To be honest, i dont imagine you'll find much answers about it here.

Thing is, I had the AE update and it was working fine. Its when I got the damned upgrade that things started fucking up horribly.

if you have SSE / AE  1.6   you need to look for warnings of DLL compatibilities of some mods like sexlab  , SOS , PapyrusUtilities , JContainer , skse , etc . . .   and update them to your SSE version .

All of my mods are updated for AE, and stability continues to decline. I'm at a point where I have to disable most of my mods to have the game function when, theoretically anyways, there should be no isses. None of the mods I have change any of the areas anything is in, or touch anything the Anniversary upgrade content touches.

I appear to have found a solution, though not the one I wanted.

A clean install fixes it (at least it appears to have) so long as I don't download any creation club content outside what cames with base AE. The moment one item is downloaded, back to everything breaking down again.

Which makes zero sense. None of it should interact with my installed mods at all.

Update: After more experimentation it appears it was the body mod I was using that was the issue. I don't really get how, but it was. Switched to a different one and mostly everything works fine. Seems like whatever issue the body mod had was being exposed by the additional content or something. I dunno.

 

Started crashing again the moment I interacted with one of the CC DLC. Also, the actual problem wound up being hentai pregnancy and not the body mod.

I'm running AE also, via Linux/Proton (haven't got the downgrade patch to run, nor does creation kit), at ~350 mods, including most of sexlab and DD I've had setups where the game worked fairly well, but currently facing something similar, with a CTD in locations. CTD in a particular location

• Most common cause is a faulty mesh that appears in that location. Confirm that all meshes are good by running them through nifscan. If any are not ported you probably can fix them with nif optimizer.

• Second most common cause is a deleted reference (fixed by proper cleaning in TES5edit when LOOT tells you a mod has deleted references) or a deleted navmesh (which LOOT will also report). If LOOT reports no errors, load your entire modlist in TES5edit, select everything except the official esms, right click > check for errors. Look for any errors about deleted things. Other errors may also be of concern.

 

I'm not able to run nifscan yet, though, so trying with SSEEdit, 2nd pointer. Also, it takes ages.

Concerning body, I recently I switched to BHUNP which required ECE. I also have Hentai pregnancy, will try to disable that, though I'm fairly certain it had worked in certain setups before.
