Hey folks! I REALLY REALLY love what I see people do with Sims assets in 3d programs such as Blender. I'm a mega-nerd and I really wanted to see what you all come up with. Feel free to post anything you've made outside of the core game as long is it abides by LL rules. I love reshade but I think 3d tools allow you to express so much more in terms of story and flexibility.

Hey! Sorry for the SUPER late reply. There are a bunch of steps and pitfalls with how i do it, I would need to make a video (which i plan to.) But ultimately it comes down to making a sim, setting their outfits to various stages of undress, use sims ripper to turn them into dae files, opening an animation package in sims 4 studio, exporting the rig, loading it in blender, replacing the base rig with the dae assets, and the rest is really just blender work with camera, lighting, nla clips and the whole nine yards.

Thanks for the response.

I went ahead and tried to learn it on my own LOL

the problem is though that most WW animations in the sims thingy used to export animations arent named and there are so many in one animators package so It takes forever to find the animation you want ;w;

So I made my own poses for now. Here's my latest thing:

@2simstouch I really like the renders you make. Is there a good tutorial you recommend to learn how to make them? I'm familiar enough with navigating blender but haven't done anything aside from edit meshes.

Hey thank you! I'm a videographer/photographer/blender person partly by trade, so there aren't really any tutorials to do it exactly how I do it. But I did all of those ones above with Blender 3.0 and i use Cycles as the renderer. If anything I recommend using "depth of field" in the camera settings and setting the focus point to an empty. Then move the empty around choose specifically where to focus and compose your shot around that. Also using the compositor is a must when trying to make your renders stand out from everyone else's.

Hey, I know you didn't ask me but I really recommend this tutorial. It teaches you the basics and is really easy to follow. That's how I learnt to make renders ?
