I play around in Blender a bit and have tried out a bunch of 3D jewelry models for customizing characters. The details in ring models can make a huge difference when you want your character to really stand out, especially for close-up shots. I lean towards using more contemporary styles myself, since they seem to fit my modern-themed characters better.

When I was researching some design references, I came across a site with a ton of real engagement rings in all sorts of styles and metals, seeing the different combos helped me figure out what looks good together in a set.
