Another thread here: 

If the Window's Defender solution doesn't work for you, the link above is the steps that worked for me. 

 

here are various solutions I've seen posted in various places:

 

A) Turn off Windows Security/Defender

B) Add Windows Defender process exception

C) Adding "Output" folder (via Overwrite) and selecting that the "Create files in mod instead of overwrite" in executable

D) per the installation video on the Nexus download page for FNIS, I manually installed and edited the INI to force the use of the "Output" folder

 

If none of those work, you can try my solution linked above. 

 

But do the Windows Defender/Security process exception first.  For the vast majority of people that seems to solve their problem without changing your Skyrim setup.
