Thats the point. No DLL, no CTDs...

but more scripts playing making my performance worse. ?

Also, I didn't ask for a non dll version, I just type hoping a rewrite dll version. I know isn't going to happen.

Admittedly, it's hard to find.

Mods like these deserve dedicated threads so people can find them easier. :)

Don't be some sure of that. I'm checking the scripts of the DLL version and almost all the DLL native functions can be replaced by PapyrusUtil functions that do the same with the same performance and without the CTD. Just few functions are actually unique from the SOS DLL but at the same time can be replaced by small scripts functions with more or less than 5 lines each. That at the end is almost the same. The biggest impact is on the load game event because recheck all revealing and cancelling armor's on the lists

Thank you friend! I remembered fixing this error once before via some disabling of different sos files but couldn't get it to work again. You saved my 40h savefile :)

Is the link above to the one you made Erstam? If not, please post it here with download instructions and requirements?  (please be kind because I'm not very smart)

With this one   it keeps CTD every time.   :(

Me stumbling upon this fix after seeing the .Net crash log mention SOS: Hmm, so the fix is to take it out and put it in again? Interesting, interesting...

Me able to load the crashed save after taking the DLL out: There ain't no goddamn way...

Me able to load it back up again after putting it back in: Nice.

Good stuff. Thanks for the guide!

I just wanted to post a comment saying thank you for the steps to fix this issue. I have never experienced this before today and it was driving me crazy trying to figure it out. After a lot of searching I came across this thread and followed the steps. I am now able to continue playing this playthrough. I really appreciate this.

Maybe it is time to update beyond 1.5.97 and use the DLL free version or switch to The New Gentlemen. That is for a future playthrough though.
