ReverendFelix Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 I'm working on a mod that needs a locked door in a player home space. The reason is to prevent preemptive travel to Solstheim. I have it all set up and the "door" on the receiving end is locked. But the initial "door" is not. There is a key to be found and, when used in Solstheim, it is supposed to unlock the home side. Thus allowing trips to Solstheim only after having been there. Though it would also unlock the first door too, if I can get it to be locked. Sooooo... yep?

You can force any door locked/unlocked by scripting, you can disable/enable them with a condition, you can enable/disable the key, ... it's all possible in the CK. And what has a door in a player home to do with Solstheim?

Then when you find the key, you can unlock it. You know... basic shit. I don't get it, the CK tells me it's locked but in game it isn't. Here's the mind fuck. I am still a bit new to Skyrim modding. I know the script I need to write, but have no Papyrus context knowledge. If I did this would be solved already. I've done scripting in other games extensively. I need a; if has key then don't impede me, else message, seems I need a key for this... script.
