stumpy1975 Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 Quick question.. is it possible to remove an npc’s war paint if they have had an overhaul my another mod? and if so how? example Kaie and Uaile from Kalilies NPC -LE
flutie Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 You can try project proteus or manipulator, these mods have the ability to bring up race menu, you might be able to take out the texture of the war paint of the npc

Short answer no... long answer maybe it depends on how the war paint was put on the NPC some mods have it as a add-on like a tattoo.....if it is it can be undone in TES5edit find the right face gen add-on and remove. If it is part of the face texture like Skyrim's war paint than no it cannot be done that way nor will any game tool like manipulator work as racemenu only shows body stuff. If it is a face texture not an add-on the only way is the in CK or ask the mod author if they may do a patch for not paint.

With Botox for Skyrim, yes, in fact it is barely an inconvenience With real npc overhauls i think it would be hard. Potential route would look like this though, find nif used by particular npc in overhaul, import it into racemenu, redefine/apply npcs hair and eyes and or anything that adding nif to racemenu doesnt automatically load into racemenu, export nif and running stuff through ck like you would when you make standalone follower or npc replacer. Some specifics I can't remember cause its been over 2-3 years since I make standalone character. You can google stuff like "how to use follower face for preset" and you will get better info on majority of process I am referring to. No easy task, make sure you do some backups, and good luck!
